I just picked this game up. What do you guys think about it? How does the difficulty match up with the other RE games? Is it easier or harder? What difficulty did you guys play it on? What difficulty do you normally play your RE games on? Don't you guys
just love all these questions? Of course you do! Haha. I've only played RE 4-6, no RE 1-3 unfortunately.. doe I'd definitely would like to play them if they ever get bundled in a HD remake or something.

    :)

No idea but you can let me know if it's any better than the appalling game that Resident Evil 6 is.

Revelations was alright. You can clearly tell that it's a port of a handheld game. Also, there is no new game+ or infinite ammo in subsequent playthroughs which are a staples of the Resident Evil franchise, in my opinion. It does however go back to the survival
horror roots, so it's possible someone could like it more than RE6 if you're upset about it being an action game.

  6. I loved it!

Definitely plays better than the DS version, and looks a lot nicer. But keep in mind its still a port.

Was a nice break from the more action themed RE games and back to the Survival Horror roots. I loved RE6 but I htink I had more fun with Revelations honestly.

As for difficulty its a bit harder than the past few games, even on lower difficulties. The puzzles are a little harder too.

  7. I actually really liked RE6 with all its actiony moments and smooth controls. I don't know why the game got so much negativity. It may be a bad RE game, but it's far from being a terrible game. The co-op was super fun.

Anyway, I played a little bit of this and I have to say I really like it so far. My dodging skills are a bit dodgey, but I'll work on that. I'm playing it on normal because I felt like Infernal would have kicked my butt.

On another note, anyone excited for Resident Evil 7?! That's been in production for a while now. I really wanna play it. Resident Evil Revelations :D

    Resident Evil Revelations

I'm looking forward to Resident Evil 7. I'm intrigued by that statement Capcom made a while back declaring that Resident Evil will return to its survival horror roots .

  9. For sure, Sword. I'm down for a good scare. I'll admit I'm pretty jumpy and Revelations caught me by surprise a few times. Nothing beats the original Dead Space for good scares doe. Oh man, dem feels!

I got it at launch but it arrived just as I finished RE6 on pro solo, that was a grind and I was burned on Resi just then so I only played a bit, was pretty decent from what I remember, felt more like the old Resi's. I'll get back to it one day.

  11. I don't thing RE6 problem is the action so much as its jsut all over the place. Having jsut completed not that long ago with my gf, it had a lot of ups and downs and it just doesn't know what it wants to be. I have my problems with 5 but I can say I enjoyed
it a lot more. That said, I feel like 6 did the co-op better than 5.

  12. 'I actually really liked RE6 with all its actiony moments and smooth controls. I don't know why the game got so much negativity'.

The game isn't actually very smooth at all. Other than the enhanced melee, as long as you've got health, Resident Evil 5 puts it to shame graphically and with regards to how it handles. On harder difficulties, if you are out of ammo and get hit even once
you end up absolutely helpless (in co-op) until your teammate can help you out since you can't even melee your opponents at all and don't regenerate to even a playable state of health.

In co-op, to level up, you have to go back to the main menu. Why?! It gets better because to level up the second player you have to end the game, sign the first player out, sign the second player out, sign the second player back in on the first controller,
level up or adjust your abilities then reverse the whole process. This is after you complete the tutorial for them, since the game forces you to get right into it.

Aiming is hopeless, deaths often feel pointless and cheap, you have to rewatch the *** cutscenes EVERY TIME you die and attempt a section again, some enemies munch bullets like a matter of habit, leaving you with absolutely nothing for the next section,
    then the section after that...

... basically, the game is highly underwhelming, though it should be tolerable, except it's also the least user-friendly game I have ever seen, heard of or played. You may as well call it outright hostile.

    *** horrible game.

Revelations was really good, I loved it! I spent so long on that coop mode it wasn't funny! Some of those last stages were a real pain in the butt until you become a high level.

I thought it was better than 6 if that means anything. Then again just about any other game in the series was. The biggest problem I had with the game though was how the lip syncing is way off in some of the cutscenes.

I really enjoyed Revelations, liked it a lot better than RE6. Raid Mode is what it's all about for me, I think I put about 10 hours into campaign and probably 100 hours into Raid Mode. It's not particularly difficult, but you will need to do quite a bit
of grinding or have a good co-op partner to have a chance on the later levels.

To make campaign easier I believe you can register on Residentevil.net and get free weapons and health, I never actually did it myself so apologies if this is wrong but I recall people chatting about this in the forums.

    Enjoy................
