Resident Evil Revelations 2 leak

Took me by surprise since they are already working on the Resident Evil Reboot for Xbox One next year.

But, i'm pleasantly surprised because I really enjoyed the first game, this one being built ground up for consoles too so i'm sure it's going to be awesome.

I hope it comes to X1 as well as 360.

Xbox.com Leaked Resident Evil: Revelations 2

"Resident Evil Revelations 2 is reportedly on the way, with a leaked box art image and screenshot revealing the sequel.

French website Gamer in a Box noticed that Xbox.com hosted two media images for Resident Evil Revelations 2, pulling back the curtain on the survival horror game. IGN has reached out to Capcom about the leak, inquiring about what platforms the sequel is planned for.

A Capcom spokesperson told IGN that the company "has made no announcements.""

RE: Rev was the first Resident Evil in a long time that felt true to it's roots imo.

I hope they don't actionize it, if there is a second one.

 

Capcom released a statement last year stating that taking the action route was a mistake and they will be bringing the franchise back to the survival horror genre

 

I enjoyed Resident Evil 5 far more than number 4 because of the co-op. I remember being carried through the professional difficulty by some Japanese guy who couldn't speak a word of English, by god was he good at the game though.

Personally I don't have an issue with the action route had they done it in a spin-off series rather than in the main brand.

Kind of like how Square Enix have gone with the Lara Croft branding for the isometric style games.

 

Will it be coming out for the 3DS first and then be ported like Revelations was? From what I played of revelations, I enjoyed what it was, so I'm down to getting Rev 2.

Also I just wanted to say that I don't hate the action route, it's just when I played Rev, I thought THIS is what a more modern version of Resi should be like imo.

I would actually prefer if they did away with the mutating zombies and stuck to a more original zombie, licker, dogs etc. though that's me.

 

I enjoyed the days of the survival horror r.e. but i also enjoyeed r.e.4 and i just got 5 not sure which i prefer will play 5 properly then decide.

 

I'm excited. I liked every R.E. game regardless.

 

Resident Evil 4 stepped up the action a bit, but it was still in the survival horror genre I think. 5 and especially 6 is when they tried to lure in the Call of Duty crowd.
