I guess you didnt read the part where I said DUALSHOCKERS MENTIONS XBOX??? My point is regardless if its an xbox site, they mislead readers to believing games are exclusive to one console when they are not. Does it really hurt to say RE is coming to next
gen consoles? No it doesnt.

 

Cool I've played every version of this game. The original, directors cut, Gamecube remake/update , and the Wii port resident evil archives.

The tank control scheme tied to camera angle I think is one of those things that made it an even better horror game. New control scheme will definitely help those who never played with tank scheme which is clunky.

 

I've never played the Gamecube remake. Is it any different from the original Playstation version from 96?

 

^^ Same game... just looks prettier. This remake will be the same thing, only look prettier than the remake. It is essentially just a cash-in for Capcom.

 

Yeah for the Gamecube they redid all the backgrounds, character models, sounds and changed some game play elements, areas, and puzzles of the game to keep it interesting to those who played the original versions. The Wii port archives is basically the same
as the Gamecube version with slightly crisper graphics and support for the Wiimote Nun chuck, Classic controller, Gamecube controller.

^ Really want to see those games remade. There is a rumor going round that Res evil 2 is being remade as well.

 

So looking forward to this, i was one of the people who requested an HD port at capcom-unity at least once a year over many YEARS now

The game is a masterpiece , Also there rumors of RE2 REmake coming Sep 2015 , some page and box art was on a capcom page and amazon for a short while

 

Those are very great News!!! RE1 was such a great game. Like another poster said. RE4 and ongoing were terrible Shooting Gallery games. I am excited!

Resident Evil 2 is my favorite game in the series

I like the "tank" type controls of Resident Evil 1, 2, 3 Nemesis, and Code Veronica

With that being said, I would probably use this (the "tank" type controls) over the modern controls.
