Yea, it was pretty awesome in 1996. Now that we're in 2014, not so much. It is basically another retread of an 18 year old game.

 

woot another game that is old... Originality is dead people.

 

Apparently, Resident Evil 2 is getting the remake treatment too:

Never been a fan of the Series.

 

I can't believe people are going to buy this crap. This sends a signal to devs that they don't have to make new games, just release the ones they put out 17 years ago and you'll make money off of them.

 

I don't feel there is anything really wrong with remaking older games, for me it's an opertunity to play a game I haven't played in 15 years, and gives younger gamers a chance to discover the roots of these franchise.

In the end, people will vote with their wallets, when people stop buying it, then devs will stop remaking them.

 

I don't mind what peoples gaming choices are, you like remakes, you don't, whatever.

Just have fun playing games!

Please don't be mad / angry at me, but I'm one of those people who loved Resident Evil as a "Survival Horror" game; not a "shooting gallery". I love Resident Evil 1, 2, 3 Nemesis, and Code Veronica

There is NOTHING scary about Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 because the enemies reward you with "money" so that you can upgrade your guns / buy more ammo. Then, you play the "game plus" mode by carrying everything over into your new game.

Resident Evil 1, 2, 3 Nemesis, and Code Veronica is a game where killing an enemy with bullets rewarded you with the fact that you no longer have to evade / avoid it the next time you enter this area. There is NO money dropped afterwards. Ammo is hard
to find & you need to be smart on how to use it. There is NO "game plus" mode here (Resident Evil 1, 2, 3 Nemesis, and Code Veronica), so you're still at a disadvantage when you start a new game. The only difference is that the player becomes more effecient
with the way they traverse the game this time around.

Seriously, I love the "Dead Space" series & this is the only game that I've played that is STILL SCARY but has the "game plus" mode.
