    It seems that this mandatory update is faulty as it won't start/load

    Really looking forward to a solution / fix that works for all of us... It seems that more and more people have this problem

    Going offline works. But, as soon as you switch back to online, the game stops and the "update" message reappears. Won't that affect the Mercenaries game once unlocked? It certainly affects the Leader Boards.

    its 3:31pm and its still not working i have disk version and xbox and capcom are no help its the same cookie cutter response of hard reset and guess what 7 times i have done this and install the disk and i am on a new xbox s , also it would not be bad if
    it was a ps4 but xbox is horrible in the installing games area its gross even offline it takes forever and yet my ps4 has never been more then a minute for any game . o well going to return it and buy it used in a month on ps4 .

    hey i spoke to a guy from capcom on twitter and he told me to put in the disk and cancel the install then go to the store and it should say iin the game page to install or buy and click install from there and it should install and work. you will be able
    to tell if its working because it will go way slower then the previous times if you tried installing it . any way it worked fine after i did that because i hard reset over 8 times then got tweet for this way and it worked it started right away and then after
    a minute of playing it popped up saying update needed so i did that and its been fine since ... hope this help s .

    Thanks for the information, guys. Can you try launching the game in Offline mode? Head on over to 'Network settings' from the settings menu and select 'Go offline'.

    See if the game is able to launch there, and if it can launch fine, switch back online while the game is open to see if the issue persists while online.
