Resident Evil 4 update failure

Today 08-30-16 I bought Resident Evil 4. I start the game, Kill 2 or 3 beasts and the game crashes. The game says update failure. I try to reinstall. Doesnt work. What happened

try doing a hard reset by holding the power button on the front of the console until it turns off and unplug the power brick from the console and the outlet for a couple of minutes then plug back in and power back on and try the game again. If that doesn't
work...

un-instal and re-install the game and try it again. If that doesn't work...

Reset console by going to settings, system, console and updates, reset console and choose to keep everything. Your console will restart and you will have to sign in again. Once your back on the home screen try the game again.

Thanks for the heads up! Let's start with these steps:

• Uninstall the game (or cancel the installation)
• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console until the console full powers down
  
• After your Xbox One full powers down, power back up.
• Navigate to 'My games & apps' and install Resident Evil 4 from your 'Ready to install' list (or from your disc if you do not own the game digitally)

Are you playing the digital version or are you playing the disc version? That info will help a lot.

 

I am having the same issue with the game telling me that it had a problem with the update, I never even saw it updating to begin with. Anyway no matter how many time I press "try again" it won't work and just tells me the same thing. I have been waiting
for this game to come to Xbox One for a very long time and I am pretty unhappy about this. I should also mention that I bought it yesterday evening while it still had a preorder tag on it and didn't try to play it until about an hour ago. I also bought the
digital version not the disc but I guess it doesn't matter because someone else in another forum said they bought a hard copy and are experiencing the same issue as us. Please resolve this soon.

Thanks for the information, guys. Can you try launching the game in Offline mode? Head on over to 'Network settings' from the settings menu and select 'Go offline'.

See if the game is able to launch there, and if it can launch fine, switch back online while the game is open to see if the issue persists while online.

Having the same issue I bought the disc not digital and it will not update. The console is telling me there is no update requires as it just downloaded 10.8 GB to the hard drive. This is very disappointing.

 

I own the disc version of RE4 and all the forementioned solutions have not worked for me. I still get the same message: "There was a problem with the update". What now?

 

Playing offline works, but that is no option for me.

As soon as I go online, the message that an update is available comes up and after that it says "There was a problem with the update"

 

Playing the game offline works for me! I hope everyone else has the same luck.
