Resident evil 4 2005 easy mode?

Wasn’t easy mode added to all versions outside of the USA (NTSC)

I’m playing on XB1 UK (PAL) and the option isn’t there.

Is there a way to get it?

Resident Evil wiki says

Resident Evil 4

Successfully beating the game once on the default Normal mode will unlock Professional mode. The difficulty is selected when starting a new game and cannot be changed mid-game or for a New Round.

Easy Mode is not available on any NTSC console versions of the game. It was later added to the HD PC release. All PAL/NTSC-J console versions feature Easy mode. Easy mode not only makes aspects generally more lenient, but also removes chunks of the game in the castle section.

I totally understand the confusion.

Easy Mode was included in the original PAL console versions and was available from the start. It was also included in the HD PC version (Steam). However, the HD version you're playing on Xbox One in the UK does not include Easy Mode.

This is because the Xbox One version is a port of the HD remaster originally released on PS3/Xbox 360, which was based on the NTSC (US) version of the game. That version only includes Normal and Professional modes (with Professional unlocked after completing the game once).

Also, keep in mind that on Xbox One, the PAL/NTSC region differences don’t apply the same way as they did on older consoles, so even if you're in the UK, you're still playing that NTSC-based version.

Can't say I've played all the resident evil games, but the worst is Operation Racoon City. I'm not really the type of person to like that gears of war play style in a game, the Resident Evil series brought the challenge of not being able to reload and shoot
which was fun and really classified the noobs from the professionals just by looking at how they approach this. Didn't mind Resident Evil 6's control system as much, it seemed to work a lot better than the one in Operation Racoon City.

Best had to be Resident Evil 5. Just slightly under this was Resident Evil 4 because I'm a huge mercenaries fan, but it didn't have any real co-op features. Survival mode is practically my favorite mode in any game so being able to play it with others is
really the only reason it is above Resident Evil 4.

If you own a digital copy of Resident Evil 4 on Xbox 360, it should be available to download and play on your Xbox Series X because it is listed as a backward compatible game.

It's not backwards compatible. The Xbox One port of the game works on the Series X, but the 360 version is not playable on the Xbox One or Series X|S.
