    Resetting PIN


    Hello I set up my microsoft account several months ago when I bought the series X and just recently was given a PC from a friend. I have been trying to log into my game pass from the PC but it is asking for a PIN and I do not remember setting one up and do not believe I have been asked for one until now. I have the "Forgot my PIN" option which just tells me to go to setting to reset it but when I go to settings, it tells me PIN is connected with Window Hello but I am unable to use this because my account is a private one. I also have the app on my phone and there is no place to reset it there and it did not ask me for it when i logged in.

    Why is it asking for my PIN? How am i supposed to reset my PIN? And how would i have set up a PIN in the first place?

    It's probably your PC password. Have you tried using your PC password?

    Sorry to hear it. In order to reset the pin the person who put it on will either need to enter the correct pin or type in the wrong pin 3 times before they're given an option to enter their password if they've forgotten the pin

    hello MozLN the Xbox pin or Microsoft pin is different to parental control pin it could be that your parents have set the pin or you may have forgotten the pin if not i would suggest you contact Microsoft support to reset your pin: https://beta.support.xbox.com/contact-us
