Resetting my home Xbox

No one in the forums will be able to assist with a home console count reset. You'll have to reach out to

support directly.

Keep in mind there is no guarantee they will do so once a user reaches their limit for the year.

Can i get my 1 reset through support ive almost waited a whole year to home my brother account

You can change your home console up to 5 times every 12 months,which is more than enough.

Gameshare/home console feature is meant to be used for households with more than one console,not for sharing with your friends.

If you have reached the 5 time limit then you will have to wait 12 months.

It is in the same household. Sorry for not specifying that. I have a friend living with me. But I still disagree that you can't reset 3 times a year still. They had it changed to 1. It would be nice for them to change it back to 3 times a year.

The roaming profile has to be signed in

The home.console only has to change if you get a new console

And want to change it

Not share It with the neighbirs

Noone but you should have access to your profile

You don't make.your console the home console.everytime.you buy a new.game.you just sign in online that's it

Did you even read my post? I didn't say I gave it to my neighbour. I have a friend living in the same household. So I obviously know him. I don't even give anybody my account info. Plus I didn't make it my home console multiple times. I know how it works.
I don't lend my account out at all. I put it on my friends Xbox set it as my home Xbox.

The thing is this you say you changed your password 5-6 times someone had to have access to your password in order to make their console your home console once you change your password and sign into your console with the new password it will require any
other console to then sign in with the new password and if they do not know the new password then they would not be able to sign in and make their console your home console.

Think about the Home console as this:

You get 5 times to set switch what console you have as your home console then you have to contact xbox support who can hit a button ONE time to reset that counter so that you have another 5 times to switch what console you have set as your home console
at so that means what console your profile has set as its home console has been changed 10 times.

It used to be that you had 3 times then support could hit the button for another 3 times and they could do that for a total of 3 more times for you before you had to wait the year but people were taking advantage of that so they changed it to the 5 times
and 1 time through support.

You may contact Support to have your counter reset. In the past, there were "unlimited" resets from Support which was abused by most users. Now, there are changes with the reset.

Remember, you will only have one reset within a 12-month period. There is no more reset after that. You have to wait after 12 months.
