    Resetting my Gamertag


    So Microsoft reseted my gamertag, i don't even know why, because I got many likes for my old Gamertag and everyone was happy to read it. So they reseted it without giving me a chance to choose another one. Do you know how I can contact Microsoft to discuss
    this problem in detail? I didn't had a problem with this Gamertag for 2 Years :'D its just funny. Thanks for the help.

    Currently there is no official word on if/when they will reset any gamertags.

    For information on why it was changed and to see about submitting a case review, you would need to go to http://enforcement.xbox.com

    Even if people liked it, the enforcement team can change it if it violated the code of conduct.

    Xbox does not prevent customers from creating the gamertag you want. The only thing is you make it at your own risk, and if anyone is offended by it or reports you for it. It might end up in a forced gamertag change if the enforcement team feels it might
    offend someone else.

    You can change you gamertag on the website and still have the same email, it has a cost but it is doable
    But the op doesn't want to change their gamertag.As they clearly stated they want to reset it & start afresh as if it's a new gamertag/account, which can not be done.

    I don't know if this is possible, because your gamertag is part of your Microsoft account, if you want use the same address, so the same account, you can change Gamertag, but not reset it.
