reset the forgot yahoo email password

Hi there,

if you signed up with a yahoo email address, then a Microsoft Account was created based on that yahoo email address. Which will result in a Microsoft Account with the yahoo email address as ID.

At mail.yahoo.com, find "Forgot your ID or password?" or "I can't access my account" - click on it. You come to a page to choose "I forgot my password" and click "Next". Enter your Yahoo ID and the wavy text in the blank fields. If the security code
is illegible, click on "Try a different code".

Move to the next screen; you're asked to choose one of the two options to reset the password - through the alternate email address you gave when you made the Yahoo ID or by answering security questions. If your alternate email account is broken
or you can't access it anymore, please select the second option.

You will now be presented w/ 2 security questions, one after the other. Assuming you were able to answer them correctly, the form for resetting the Yahoo mail password will be displayed. You need to type the password twice.

Sorry to hear it. Which service are you using for the old email? (yahoo, hotmail, etc).

Have you tried using the Forgot Password service for the email?

The only thing it could be is that the Email or Password is indeed incorrect. The only thing you can do is go through the "Cant access My Account" option at www.login.live.com and try reset the password by sending a reset link to the Yahoo Email address,
providing you can actually sign in to the Yahoo email address yeah?

Sorry mate I'm out of suggestions, with the issue you are having it is as simple as resetting the password with an email reset link. If they are not coming through then it could be an issue with the Yahoo email. Do you get any emails through to the Yahoo
one on a regular basis?
