    Reset Pass code problems


    Hi, My xbox suddenly started asking for a passcode on one of the xbox live profiles. I then set one up anyhow and it accepted it but since it always asks me for it and says its incorrect. After 2hours of trying to reset with the tech team - we still havent
    resolved it? Anybody else had the same problem or have any ideas how i can reset? I have managed to get to the place where you can reset pass code but then it asks me a question which i dont recall ever answering!

    Any ideas or tips greatly appreciated. I dont use the xbox myself so im very unfamiliar with it - its my sons and so he is quite distraught he cant play on it!

    How to control access to your Xbox LIVE account

    It is possible to restrict access to your Xbox LIVE account by using a pass code, or making it necessary to sign into your Xbox profile using your Microsoft account password.

    Set a pass code

    A pass code is a button sequence on your controller, which you can use to restrict access to your Xbox LIVE profile. After you have set the pass code, anyone who wants to sign into Xbox LIVE using your profile must enter the pass code.

    Steps to follow

    1) Under Settings, select Account

    2) Go to Account Security, and then select Pass Code

    3) Enter your four-button code on your controller. You can use the directional pads, the triggers, the bumpers, X and Y.

    4) Re-enter your pass code for confirmation

    The next time you sign in with your Xbox LIVE gamertag, you will be required to enter the pass code.

    If you want to change or reset your pass code, just repeat the above steps. You will be required to enter the old pass code before you can change it.

    If i am honest , nothing can be done unless you find out the pass code

    Some one created the passcode the keep their account safe

    if you do not know the passcode , contact the account owner or dig into your brain and remember your own passcode .

    They could see this as its a stolen account and you're trying to gain access so you will get no where

    • Your Microsoft account must be an adult account.
    • The console must be registered in your name.

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account at Devices.
    2. Locate your registered Xbox 360 console.
    3. Select More actions, select Reset passcode, and then follow the instructions to reset your pass code.

    Bought Xbox 360 Slim 250gb Second Hand, Has Family Settings On, With 4-digit Pass Code, Doesn't Affect Games/Live In Anyway (I Don't Think), But It's Now My Xbox And I Want To Remove Pass Code/Family Settings Off As I Wan't To Also Factory

    Problem solved, contact xbox directly, did reset code in system info including pass code. You may lock now or anything, many thanks! :)
