Resend my $10 gift code that I failed to redeem

If you redeemed an Xbox gift card, the funds would automatically be deposited into your account and you won't receive a code. You can verify your balance at http://account.microsft.com

If it's a different kind of gift card, the code would be emailed to you.

If you haven't received a code/funds after 24 hours after redeeming the card, check your order history on the redemption page of the Rewards site. It will either list the code there or give the option to resend it.

Hello, ask the friend to go in their account and resend you the gift code.

If you go to the following link, you can see your redeem history - if you gift card is there you can click resend.

so the problem appears to be I need to redeem a code and download it. It says the codes were sent to my email. They have not. I cannot find anywhere to resend the codes. This is maddening.

The £10 must be either on a card that says "Xbox Gift Card £10" or you must purchase an Xbox digital gift card code on Amazon for £10 that you redeem here:

You can't redeem Amazon gift cards or currency in Amazon accounts for currency in your Microsoft/Xbox account - you must buy an Xbox Gift Card (or code) with that money on it.
