rescue kills with a shotgun

Having a bit of difficulty here and looking for suggestions. I've been running the fp6 in cranked for the smaller maps. After many matches over the last couple days I got 1 rescue kill ( I had one before I started, not sure when I got it ) so I'm at 2
of 20.

Thing is, I swear I should be getting them. Its not often, but every few matches or so I get at least one that looks pretty definite, enemy is shooting at teammate ,( It sure looks like he hits him at least once ) I kill the enemy, teammate lives, ....
but when I check, it didnt count.



I tried some heavy duty mode thinking I have more chance at my teammate living through it, but it usually wound up tdm on large maps or domination. Domination would be fime with me except I know it didnt count assists for me and I just assumed I wasnt
getting the rescues for the same reason. I know rescues count in cranked since I did get 1, and I think thats where the first one came from too, are there certain modes that they count and ones that dont?



Any suggestions would be helpful.

I started playing it because I thought it would be the best place to get rescue kills for my shotties. I'm down to the last shotgun and have a few of the rescue kills on it ...... back to some cranked I reckon. That seemed to be my next best bet for them.
....... even though with limited health they are harder to come by.

I did start to like it because of the moshpit of some of my favorite modes. I'm s really suprised they removed it, as it seemed to be pretty popular.

I call shotgun-50G-snipe 50 people with slugs, get 50 buckshot kills from a shotgun, and get 50 underslung shotgun kills.

Kinda how it is, if IM trying to get them, it ain't working, if im just playing my best, they just happen.

 

Thats true ..... and I was actually leary of using the word try, because I start out at the beginning of the match trying to follow some kind of strategy that includes sticking close to teammates ....... but by 30 seconds or so into the match I have to
run off on my own because they keep their distance from the enemy, and that just doesnt work for a shotgun.

 

wait 3 min, then follow the worst player?

chances are they walk right into stuff often?

After I posted that last night I switched myy classes around a bit and got 3 in 4 matches. ... shouldnt have made a difference bcause the only thing different reall was I switched out hardline for sitrep, but I didnt play any different, and only remembered
one that looked like a possible.. I wonder if it got stuck somehow

 

^It's weird,My slide kills with the Honey Badger were only showing 1 and it seemed a few i thought i had did'nt count,Then after 1 more game they jumped to 8,Maybe they're slow to update.

 

Still a fairly tough challenge though. I just noticed another thread about everyone having gold camo. Well, I went through almost a whole prestige with nothing but a knife, and now I'm using the rp6 90% of the time so I thought it would be nice to at least
get that gold.

I play mostly ffa and actually thought my slide kills were the last to do, then realized I overlooked the assists and rescues ...... can't get them in ffa, so those last 15 rescues are going to drag it out a while.

 

So after toiling through 20 rescue kills on 3 of my shotguns mostly by playing heavy duty, they took that mode away.

But it also appears they have cut the number required from 20 to 10. So now only it takes 40 rescue kills with shotguns ...... I have 66 and am 4 short lol ..... wish they would have waited until I was done with all 80 so my feelings about the change
werent so wishy washy and I could just pound my head on the wall a few times and be done with it.

 

I get them often in K/C though im not tryin for em........

 

Finished it up in cranked. Goes pretty quick only needing 10. 20 of them was taking forever. Only thing now is that I'm only half way through with everything else. It was kind of nice I guess because I just knew complete the rescue kills and everything
else was already done.

Maybe at least after a few more assists I can go back to my preferred ffa. Assists arent that easy with a shotgun either though. I'm working on the tac12 and most shots are either ohk or no hit at all. Only a handful to go though. shouldnt be long and
I'll have all the shotguns gold.

 

You know what gets my. Long shots with the honey badger. Taking foreverrrre! Lean kills should be done tonight if I get on.

 

Try a different game mode maybe like Dom and sit around the objectives, but of course youll need a team pushing for flags (both teams) alot.

 

Dom might be good for the longshots with the honey badger and the lean kills.... or blitz for the leans. My problem was doing the rescue kills with the shotgun when I'd play dom all the bigger maps would come up. I was suprised that I could do well with
a shotgun on stonehaven, but the rescue kills just werent happening.



When I did the rescue kills I didnt really play any different than normal, but with the rescue kills done and the assists not, it actually got pretty amuzing. I was doing my best NOT to kill people, but even as much as I was dying I couldnt lose a face
to face battle. I'd get shot from the back, shot from the side, shot from a distance, etc.



Its almost like the game knew what I was trying to do and was scr8wing with me. I shoot from a distance and get no hitmarke .... step closer, no hitmarker, one more step and get a kill.



the funniest part was the times I would get a hitmarker and there wouldnt be any teammates firing at him, so I'd dance around drawing fire . I'd dance a while and take another shot, dance a while and another shot..... until I'd kill him. That kind of
thing just doesnt happen any other time. I've done knife only, pistol with tac knife and shotguns 90% of the time I've played this game, and I dont see opportunities like that. I remember with the rp6, if I didnt get an ohk I was usually dead before I got
the second shot off. But here it was numerous times I'd drag these rediculously long battles out trying not to shoot a second time .... then not a third time.......... but I won every single one of them.

I went back to playing ffa last night because all my rescue kills and assists were done, and all I was getting was hitmarler after hitmarker and dying. I swear sometimes that snipeffrog thing is real.
