Requisites for A Ban/Suspension in Communication?

If simple reports can ban people for single word messages, what exactly makes a requisite to a ban? Considering that things like this are to protect the children playing online, do things like "You're so bad" and "****" equal such? Explain please! A detailed
list on what shouldn't be said to you and vice versa would be nice!

I'm not trying to insult Xbox Live Enforcement here, just... Questioning their requisites...

Enforcement on Xbox

Today i received an email that my account from permanently banned. I went onto the link that they posted and it turns out i got banned for soliciting etc. I submitted a case review and went looking for more information. Most suspensions/bans are 1,7, or 14 days and my type of suspension followed under that list but then it said something about if the action was egregious or excessive bans, it could lead to a permanent one. In my case i tried selling my og gamertag, the guy messaged me about it, i told him how much and what payment. He declined, i said ok, and then we didn't message again AND no personal info was transferred, so in my defense it was not egregious. I have only had 2 ENFORCEMENTS, a good reputation, and no consecutive or reappearing issues. I do not think that deserves a permanent ban from all my years of gaming and achievement i have earned. There is clearly a flaw in the system.

 

Suspension/Ban

This thread is to bring much needed attention to the suspensions and bans. While I could write a book on this, keep it simple, or try. You have your player feedback. Good/needs work ect.. Reality is, people have no clue, with the exception of "complaints" what their being suspended/banned for, till persons submits case review. Then after review, persons has no clue why they are suspended till after, is this a fair process? By then, the "oh, I had an ignorant moment" strikes.. Then it's too late to appeal or make a case. Already done. I hope, with the backing of others, think their needs to be further review of policy. Their are the repeat offenders, keep them honest. Then you have the first time offenders that get 2 week suspensions, again without knowing why until case review is done, many see this as unfair.. Then it shows, you can still play multi player but communication restricted- I find this a false statement considering, temp suspensions- your unable to play multiplayer. What about those that understand and take ownership? 2 weeks on first suspension? Harsh considering kids that curse others on their parents account..? Yet, the one that defendes themselves, suspended, understand 24 but 2 weeks, first offense? Shouldn't there be an objective perspective/judgement also explaining discpline opposed to the current..? I'm all for making a safer community but what's the harm in looking @ the repeat offenders vs first time!? Gamers should always respect others! Parents should monitor. Keeps hard working Xbox live workers from having to deal with hot heads.

 

The enforcement team does not visit these forums. They base their action on the
Code of Conduct but you will not find a detailed list of things you can/cannot say/message to others.

If yku read the terms of use and code of conduct it's real simple you must be rated E for everyone that means no hidden meanings insults or anything mean like using creative spelling to hide a violation etc or even bad slang

Just be Human

It'sIt's not rocket science

And you can join the 99.9% of live players who don't have enforcement issues
