    so, we would like to purchase Battlefield V for our xbox one and play single campaign...cannot afford a gold membership and NEVER play multi player - on the game sleeve it says; "Requires Xbox Live Gold Membership"

    does this mean we can NOT play this game on single player (campaign mode) without this membership? and does this mean ALL games going forward will require we have a gold membership to play Xone games on our console?

    not everyone cares for or can afford memberships ..if this is the sign of the future? good luck with that - cuz i ll dump Xbox and move on before i ever join up for a costly membership we would have NO use for..

    Xbox live gold membership is required for all games requiring multiplayer connectivity.

    Do you mean an Xbox LIVE Gold membership card? If so, this is not required. An Xbox LIVE Free membership will keep all Achievements earned, a "premium" membership is not required with this.

    Do you have a Gold membership? In order to play on any online service on Xbox Live (ie. multiplayer) a Gold membership is required.

    Destiny requires an xbox live connection. The whole thing about the xbox live gold required means you cant play those strikes/pvp/raids if you are running on a gold trial membership. You cannot play the game with a silver membership.
