Requesting replacement Xbox One Elite Controller

One of the triggers on my Xbox one Elite Controller broke and I want to request a new one. Microsoft keeps sending me to the Service Center to request a new controller, however I cant seem to find anywhere in the service center to make an actual request.
The only product it allows me to register is my console, and there does not seem to be anywhere to service my controller.

Has anyone else had this problem or know where to request a new controller? Spending $150 seems like a lot of money for a controller that lasts 2 months.

They give me no options there other than buying replacement parts for the swappable components (thumbsticks, paddles, d pad). Nothing about repair of the unit itself or replacement parts for the internals.

 

I am having the same issue now. I am on with live chat and seem unable to point me to the correct place. they seem to be trying to sell me something now... likely want my CC info posted in chat

 

I never did find a link that worked, but it sounds like they will be replacing my controller. I am sure there will be a fee. But, they were nice. Next time, I will buy from a place with an extended warrenty, at leats for the controllers. the drifting issues
are just too common.

 

yeah what the ****, have an issue with the right joystick and they just told me to get a new one. is like, i didnt pay 150 for a controller to get a new one 6 months later

 

I would recommend calling Microsoft themselves and see what they can do if it is still under a guarantee you have the right for a Refund, Repair or a replacement.

My Elite controller broke after about 13 months? One of the analog sticks wasn't responding correctly. I contacted support to be told that they could not do anything about the controller as it was over a year of ownership. They tried to sell me a pack of
new magnetic tips for the controller--the support agent didn't seem to undertand that it was the hardware that was malfunctioning.

I don't remember exactly what was wrong with the controller--one of the thumbsticks wasn't responsive or was maybe too responsive... got stuck in one position. I was able to switch the left thubstick for the right thumbstick by opening the controller up
and messing with it's guts. I may have placed a piece of tape or a drop of glue to hold the thumbstick in place.

I found instructions to open it on a youtube channel. I figured if it was broken/unresponsive anyway and microsofts solution was to tell me to kick rocks I was going to have to buy a new one or fix it myself.
