Request to join club ERROR notification

I'm having the exact same problem, I hope this gets solved soon.

When joining a club, you will find the club you want to join and request to join. The Owner/Admin will see the request and accept it. What they base them accepting your request off of is up to them. You can always send the owner a message saying you request
to join and why as well. You will need an active gold membership to join

1-Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, then select People > Clubs > Discover Clubs > Browse All Clubs to see the clubs you belong to or to browse featured clubs. You can also search for them by selecting Find a club. Or, from the home screen, select the Friends & Community Updates icon, and then select Clubs on Xbox > Find a Club to browse or search for a public club.

2-Choose a club.

3-Under Welcome, select Request to Join. A notification will be sent to the club owner and administrators. Once a club accepts your request, you will become a member and the club will appear in the Contacts area of ​​the guide.

To view club invitations, select Clubs on Xbox (see step 1). When you receive invitations from a club, they will appear under Your club invitations. Select Accept invitation on the club you want to join.

• Is it giving you this error when trying to join a club on the Xbox One and on Windows 10 PC?
  
  Yes, on the Xbox One console and the Xbox Console Companion, I get the error message "You've reached your club limit, You must leave another club before joining a new one.
  The Xbox app nor the Xbox Overlay display any information that I have found about the clubs so I cannot answer that if there is supposed to be.

I was, however, able to create a group successfully. Trying to join the other group still gives me the same error. Then I went back to delete the new group that it allowed me to do (done that because I was trying to give exact error messages because last time I was not able to create a group) and try to use the invite link (and request join, done both just in case) to join the group again and that also did not work.

To join an xbox club you can go to your dashboard. Scroll over to the community section. Click on Clubs on Xbox at the top. Then search for a club you are interestted in, click on it. Then look for Request to Join.
