My child is being harassed on xbox live I would lik to request a new gamer tag Thank you!

I am having issues with my GT and am being Harrased

Well i like my current gamer tag and and wont pay for another change because i am being harassed that's not right.. Im not triying to argue but i just wish i could have a GT change without having to pay especially because i like this one

Hello I am Being harassed and made fun of on Xbox live because of my gamer tag. And i do not have any money at the time so i can not change it. I don't understand what is wrong with the gamertag but i would like to have it changed because of all the harassment.

 

The only way your childs Gamertag can be changed is to pay the 9.99 and have it changed. There are a lot of tools in place such as blocking and avoiding through your console to avoid those who may be harassing you. If he is receiving messages that are
inappropriate then please report those through your console. If you are worried about your child either do not let him access the service or pay the 9.99 to have the name changed.

Please understand a lot of people create all types of stories in order to get a name change. Enforcement never reads this forum and if support told you to post here they are in total error.

 

You can Always Block Communications with the Person and Mute them from Your Console, That will Prevent you from Getting Messages from the Person as well as the Mute Option will make it so that you can`t hear him and he can`t hear you, You can always attempt
to try and avoid this Person by Going to his Profile and Give him a Player Rep and Chose Avoid. This will help Prevent you from playing games with this Person in the Future.

 

Also set contacts to friends only

as non friends will not be able to contact or msg

As said above, it generally costs to create a new gamertag. And there are a few ways as suggested to block and mute certain persons, Using the rep is always a good solution to avoid playing with certain players in games again, But this won't always help
if they recruit others to continue this bullying. Bullying is a huge problem throughout all ages and stages of life, and only made more easy by todays technology.

If you are worried for your child, It may be worth actually setting up a new account on a new email for your child? I know this is probably not the suggestion you wanted, But it is one where he/she can start over without these bullies knowing where to find
him/her.

Obviously if the persons are known to you locally, And it is getting out of control, Contact schools or local authorities.
