Request ideas involving Themes, Avatar ideas, Moderating, Profile Templates, Adult Content...

My grammar and punctuation are pretty bad, so apologies! I hope that this was easy to read and just as easy to navigate. I did my best to go through this to make it as legible/articulate as possible. Xbox is a passion of mine and I hope that I can ignite that same passion in you (ignore this if the burning fiery passion of youth and gaming is already inside you!) even tho it may seem like I'm joking and having fun at times I am serious about these ideas/requests.

Hey there Xbox team, if this is even a team reading this :/ hmmm. If its just one dude or lady reading ....well here we go sorry for the length of this ahead of time.. I have been a paying member of the Xbox live community for a very long time now - meaning -I have been loyal to Xbox for over a decade now(dang I feel old writing this) gaming is my passion AND my escape from the pain I endure on a daily basis due to illness, without going into details therefor effectively depressing the heck out of you people (I don't want you wondering why you read this if it was just going to depress you) , I have to admit and purge myself of some sins here regarding the last decade... some of that time I was an obnoxious teen on Call of Duty and I probably wasn't appreciated much by the enforcement team: Sorry guys/ladies I know I was a poo-head. I hope you forgive me for my transgressions against the almighty enforcement team of enforcing the glorious Xbox Commandments/TOS, all bow before your power and wonder. To clarify! I don't want any credit or anything else from this. I tried to keep this neat and tidy as well as easy to skip to the parts that interest you if you are ADHD like me. To see these changes that not only make you feel like you're getting your moneys worth, but that you have more of a say in your profile than just a color change and few theme options you would feel a sense of being free to express yourself. Not only that, but you could capitalize on this by using micro transactions if you really wanted for the profile ideas, but it would be cool for the poor folk like me to be able to earn it through community service or rewards system.



Themes:

To start I know that we already have "themes", However those are incredibly limited and most are beautiful, but with everyone else using the same one as you, it gets to the point where you lose individuality and its no longer that fun to have as a feature. By adding the ability to make a custom theme and completely customize it the way that the gamer likes it would add flare to the profiles, bring more of sense of uniqueness to each profile and most importantly I think alot of gamers would enjoy this idea. While I'm on that thought, what about adding the ability to showcase your own art and add a little twist to it, by picking one to showcase on the community feed as a sort of "xbox fan art winnder of the week or month" would be cool too and they could choose from a prize like reward points or a certain prize you decide on. As for the themes I mean to be able to make your own theme in an app designed for it would just be super fun. Create your background in a studio, edit the buttons, colors, so on exhibit in photos for reference. Having an option to upload a picture from outside of the studio as well, you could just let them know it will take longer to upload because it needs to be verified by moderators as abiding by community standards and the TOS. The app could be made as a one time purchase or as something you can in earn in the rewards part of Xbox. For example, say I wanted to have a giant alpaca - no wait- a moose on my profile that was covered in flames with demon horns, but cartoonish in the style of "adventure time's the lich" this moose would be floating on a cloud with a sparkling rainbow behind it. I could make that then have it as my theme. I would find the meaning of life in that moose... or maybe I've watched "monty python and the holy grail" far to many times - ANYWAYS! Moose. Being able to create what I wanted for my profile and to be able to share it with my fellow gamers as my art or my creation with the help of the app would be amazing. I know a lot of really REALLY talented artists that would just love to showcase their talents on the social networking side of Xbox.



Avatar room/palace greeting page or additional page:

This leads me to my next idea/request. Adding a section that could be edited by the user that allows for a customizable room for your avatar that greets people on the first page with all your Gamerscore and picture. This would not only show the avatar interacting with its surroundings, but have its own room and objects in that room that the Avatar could interact with. If you left the creation process open ended so that people could create their own things you would be surprised what people can make when given creative freedom like that *of course with its own moderation feature added in see the moderating part to understand what I mean* They could have pets that they can either buy or earn through the rewards program. They could have objects that the avatar interacts with that show who that person is and what they love, which is an extension of the original avatar props you had before, but incorporated into something bigger and something that would entertain the kids too. They would be able to make their own page with animals, art, you name it that their avatar can engage with. They could choose that or just the theme idea and add widgets like the world clock where they live even a spotify player if you could manage that, widgets would be great I mention those down below in the "Misc" section.

Profile Template/badge system/Music player

On top of the stuff I mentioned above, you could add the ability to completely change your profiles template by 'dragging and dropping' the profile box's where your gamerscore is to another location or your avatar to another part of your profile. The ability to move your profiles template around at will would be super helpful when editing themes and trying to showcase certain content like clips/screenshots, folders, text posts, polls, clocks, you name it. Have the text for your Gamer score big showing it off or small and in the upper corner. A section dedicated to prized clips/screenshots and the ability to move it where they please and choose what size it will be. A music player as mentioned above with music that can be bought from the store or earned through the rewards program or achievements. Possibly make a deal with Spotify to have Xbox approved playlists that you can add approved songs to your profile to auto play as a playlist upon viewing your profile. Adding a badge system other than just the one for being an ambassador or linking your accounts. No the ability to choose the badges you want to show off and have ones for certain games and certain things they have done on Xbox and actually have them look awesome. Have people make badges for their friends to show off like "MVP Of THE TURTLE CLAN!" in the shape of a spikey shelled turtle or "Empress of moose" and my avatar on the before mentioned Moose as badge.



Moderating:

Please bare with me and read this all before you skip over it, I have a few points I hope get through to people in charge there nothing to judgey on my own end I promise! I know that the saying around there is that you don't make mistakes in enforcement, which sure I can see how some of the stuff I've seen enforced could be twisted to be a violation of the TOS. HOWEVER: a lot of people get away with stuff they shouldn't and some even know how to use this reporting system as a weapon. I know not a lot can be done about that without overhauling the whole system. However what if we could do something else by adding a whole new feature and therefor in the process taking a huge load off of the people in enforcement especially during this pandemic and god forbid we ever end up in another situation like this the help would be appreciated I'm sure, you're only human. Community Moderators would be: Randomly Selected by xbox staff or by applications filled out and sent by the website, but with strict requirements even for people who are volunteering. Rules like: Must have an account that is over a year old, Must have an account that has had no Enforcement actions or (x) amount of enforcement's on it within the last 6 months to a year. Must be an Adult. Must abide by the terms of service and be fair in your judgements. A system of Majority rules and if its a group of 6 and they tie with 3 agree and 3 do not then it is bumped to another group to decide. If they are not sure to consult with their manuals. It would be almost like Jury duty except! they get rewards for participating. All people selected would be marked in the group session as "moderator one, Moderator two" so on so as not to have people messaging outside of the chat and ganging up on someone. This way they can continue judging the case efficiently and settle the matter where a gamer appealed content that had been enforced claiming it was unfair or unwarranted. At the end they would be asked to fill in a brief survey about why they made these decisions and what TOS rules they followed to make these decisions until the kinks in the program are worked out by doing the optional survey they have a chance at unlocking more rewards the more they work on the enforcement team and the more they fill in their reports. This program wouldn't solely be to review cases that people think they were wrongly enforced or wrongly comm banned, but also to help take the load off of the enforcement team. The committee could also pitch in on verifying photos on peoples profiles, background group photos, themes, custom content you name it. All would still be entirely anonymously and through group vote where no one knows how the others in the group voted and what their input was on the matter till its been filed. This would lighten the load on your team and pick up after all the extra content to verify and enforce that the other Ideas I had would add to your enforcement list. This would help the people who are doing this to better learn the enforcement teams job and the rules as well as appreciate the work you do whilst also earning rewards. This would make it so people feel like they actually have a say in the service that they pay for and that once that ruling has been made by 2 committee teams they cant keep pestering you about it. It would act as a buffer and a means to weed out the people who are mass reporting and using the service as a weapon against people they don't like while also giving you room to work on other stuff.









Adult Content or 18+ filter

Adults play on this console it is not solely kids and there are mature rated games on xbox as well, so it would make sense that you would make an adults only section, right? Well.... since that's a lot of work to incorporate a whole new section to the feed.. This other option would be far easier HOW ABOUT THIS: an adults only filter that when you check the "18+" button it would hide it from all accounts marked as minors. This would mean once they agree to it, they can mark each post as they are in the process of posting it as \Mature 18+ post filter out for minors\** and then they could leave their regular kid friendly posts unchecked so they can still be a part of the main community, this would mean they can still post their other 18+ content that would usually get them an enforcement notice so long as it isn't TOO bad and they can be happy with the ability to share the more risque content with friends without a slap so hard from enforcement that it sends you back to the times where an ankle was considered s\x*al.* It will mean less punishments needed for people posting a pic with pardon me "Side B**B" or something phallic in nature. Not only would this cut back on your need to moderate so much, it would also save you time and save you from dealing with the parents who get mad because their kids were exposed to mature content by accident.. because people STILL post it on xbox and are probably doing it now as we speak, You can't keep up with all of them and the enforcement system isn't perfect. People still do it even tho these rules say they cant. It really s*cks for people who want to share funny, but adult clips on a service they pay for that already features adult/mature content in its games so why cant we incorporate an adult content filter? A lot of sites do this and are able to do it effectively I know you can do it too! I believe in you. Severe Enforcement action would not be needed as often and could be avoided alot more. The other stuff policed better by having a section for people who are 18+ and agree to certain terms as well as them agreeing to flagging their pics as "18+ only pic filter out minors" if it features certain content which is 18+ the warning would be laid out clearly and concisely before they post something as a quick explanation of whats considered adult and what is acceptable. It would then not even show up for kids, just like adult content filter for the kids profiles stops them seeing mature games, why not add that feature for the feed and clip/screenshot sharing. If someone is caught posting outside of those filters they get a severe punishment that increases with each infraction till eventually losing the ability to post content. People would still be able to post in the main community with this setting, but they would just have to check the box for adult content when posting things that are adult in nature.



Misc:

-A view counter on the profile itself to help hype people up and to track their activity on their profile.

-Adding widgets like they have on phones or computers to xbox dashboard and profiles like: Polls, questionnaires, game stats, featured content, personalized content, spotify music player or just a music player that has music you earned or purchased on it, vip friends list with 4 or 5 friends marked as VIP's and featured, world clocks showing your timezone.

-The ability to pay for or earn in the rewards section or by moderating as one of the mods I mentioned above \like community service that earns you perks** the ability to have more space on the Xbox storage so you don't have to go through deleting the clips/screenshots as often. If you're anything like me and enjoy doing game photography or sharing funny clips you made it gets tedious cleaning that thing out so often. I would gladly pay for or earn points or do Xbox community service for some more storage room.

-Adding the ability to catagorize screenshots or make your own folders. Being able to name screenshots and clips in your personal private captures folder.

-Being able to organize your captures folder and click and drag pics to where you want them in order.

-Move community section to where it is more visible and make it easier to support your fellow gamers and creators on more platforms than just Xbox. Bring back the ability to see the community feed on the mobile app and the computer. We like being able to support fellow creators it was much more fun back then.

-Allow for categories with friends other than just favorites and base friends list, because some people have a lot of friends.

-Add a section that people could put up, with VIP Friends as mentioned above momentarily and have the ability to choose whether their gamer pics or avatars will be featured on the profile.

-Allow for message folders and ability to name them.

-Allow people to catagorize their personal profile feed and make it easier for people to sort through the persons content. Also make it so we can make a folder for older content so people can still access it and see it. Because Right now you can only go about a couple months back before it just glitches.

-Fix the auto upload function on xbox or remove it entirely because it isn't working. Please

-Allow for people to use the widgets I mentioned above in their clubs as well as set up a valued members of the club section as well to honor the people who have put in a lot of effort.

-Put a section up on the community feed recognizing the people who have made xbox a better place and I dont mean calling out people who have reported others, I mean people who are always active in the community or who have been contributing members of the community by helping others. Make it more friendly and inviting like it used to be. Lately its like I've been saying a ghost town at times.



Ps: One of my other requests, but it is important to me: make it easier to support content creators and clip/game photography on other platforms BESIDES xbox like it used to be. Not having the ability to do these things on the computer or the phone anymore has really taken away a huge part of what a lot of people loved about the community section. It used to be vibrant and yes a little toxic at times, but people were super active on it. Now it seems like a ghost town somedays. If we added these features along

I would be overjoyed to see these things become a part of Xbox as a whole. I am and always will be a loyal Xbox Customer. I hope I didn't pile to much into this and I hope its ok that I post it here. Please feel free to ask questions if you have them and to flat out say "no thanks". I just love my xbox and the community in it and being a content creator on there I really enjoyed being able to share freely like we used to. I would love for more improvements to be made.
