Discus and support Request For Better IE App Controls in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; If any devs are out there, can we PLEASE have better controls for the IE App?     Request For Better IE App Controls


    If any devs are out there, can we PLEASE have better controls for the IE App? I love being able to pull up internet explorer and being able to search for stuff side by side with my games, however the controls leave much to be desired. Right now there is
    only a button to go backwards a page (B), but no forward button. Its pretty frustrating taking all this time to enter a website by hand controller (i have the Kinectless model) and then trying to go back to my game and accidentally hit (B) out of habit, and
    losing my site.

    My suggestion would be to add a "Forward Page" button like a PC IE Browser has and more importantly a button that shows what the controls are to use IE with Xbox One.

    Thanks, i love my Xbox One experience so far.

    IE App - Circumventing Parental Controls

    I have the same problem. I have family settings setup to where it prompts for the four digit code before using IE. But if I search for say, "ABC" it'll come up with an option to search using IE. And bam... instant unaccountable internet access.

    Can you please fix this?

    Hello, thanks for replying. So some slight misunderstanding here. So rather than using the privacy settings to turn web browsing on or off, I am blocking the IE app from the family settings. I want to force it to ask for the 4 digit passcode to enter IE.
    Turning web browsing off wouldn't suffice since it could be turned on and off without the passcode.

    If I try to access IE from the My Apps Menu, it will ask for the 4-digit passcode. If I attempt to access IE from a search bar on one of the other menus, then it does not require a passcode. Any suggestions?

    If you press the Start button on the controller you can Choose Address Bar. Above the bar will be a list of the last few pages that you visited. I found this out through trial and error (doing the same thing you did).

    In the meantime if you would like to see that suggestion implemented you should post in the Feedback Forums.

    Just snap the IE app whenever you want to drop in. I'm sure the app will be better than it is for the 360.
