The reputation system is garbage, and to have a tag on your profile saying "Needs Work" or "Avoid Me" is honestly downright insulting and discriminatory.

Microsoft invented a system that you have almost NO control over.

Players can be attacked and spam reported by a player who decides, quite frankly, that he or she doesn't like you.

There's nothing you can really do to get your reputation back up and KEEP it there, if you're playing a game that harbors toxic communities, like Overwatch and Friday the 13th.

Players will find ANY reason to report you.

Most of the real damage is done during voice chat in-game, and Microsoft says you can report for "Voice Communication", but I've found they have almost no way to record this and adjust your rep accordingly.

    Someone can claim almost anything.

If an entire lobby claims you said the word "****", they'll push to get you banned or rep-damaged for it, even if you never said it.

The entire thing is a sham, and it makes you look like an ass, even if you're a good player who encounters jerks and decides to defend yourself. Microsoft expects you to just keep your mouth and fingers shut, not defend yourself, and simply report the player.

EDIT ADDITION: Furthermore, if you read the terms listed below in the next reply, you'll see that this reputation system is Microsoft's way of getting you to buy additional product from them. They want you to buy games that you don't even want to play,
just to help you play with more players, with can either damage or help your reputation further.

This entire system is a fraud, and it's the kind of **** garbage that's ruining our online experience.

A good reputation is required? Why is reputation even relevant?

Why is the reputation message "avoid me" even a thing?

I thought those with avoid me reputations were only supposed to be put in games with others of that reputation.

If that's not the case then the reputation system might as well be discontinued

How do I see my reports?

    Hi

If your reputation is green then there I would say there is nothing to be worried about. If you want more information all you can do is click on reputation and receive a summary of the reputation feedback you have received
