Reputation

Recently my reputation had been changed to 'avoid me' and i feel as if i have done nothing wrong. I looked at my recent reports and 'cheating' was something that frequently showed up. Me and my friends recieve constant messages accusing us of cheating
and saying that they have reported us... This mostly happens when playing Destiny, it seems like people only blame lag or people cheating when they lose which leads to lots of hate mail and reports. Now because of this 'avoid me' status is is now very hard
to find matches and that is the only possible way to restore my good status... So how can i repair my status if i can barely find any matches? I spend more time looking for games than i do playing them and it is horrible. I would at least like to know why
this is happened because it is not enjoyable at all to have a reputation as bad as this. Thank you for reading this and i do hope i get some feedback. -Trn

Edit: Please don't just link the enforcement thread again or say "No one of the xbox live team can help you here" because the thread is no help and and i know people (my friend one of them) who had the exact same problem and their issue was solved.

Just checked on there and some fudgeer has reported my gamertag in the last 6 months, was it you @Rorifett there was that one game on BF1 :laugh:

Unfortunately this is a huge problem right now for competitive players in games such as Call of Duty, Overwatch, etc. You can literally check the top 1000 leaderboards and almost every other player has some type of reputation issue. I'm in the same boat
as you and believe me I've looked far and wide for a solution and there doesn't appear to be any at this time. Not sure how your friend got his problem resolved but please share if you know anything.

I don't think Microsoft will take action on this until more people speak up on the issue; however seeing as we are in the minority I wouldn't expect anything to happen anytime soon. I would suggest playing other games in the mean-time or creating another
account to play your game with until your reputation goes back up.

Your rep isn't what you think of it it's what the community thinks of you that's what you guys dont fully understand

Anyone has the right to avoid players they don't like to play withthat is their right on any server nor can you say that they have no right to avoid bad players

However this does not affect your rep

This is where people get confused

Yours rep comes from complaints made against you by the communityfor communication or bad gameplay like camping repeat annoying actions s or too much over the top bragging or trash tlak that won't equate to a suspension. But it still annoys players

The pet team looks at the complaints and issues negative scores on your rep if found true

The only way to fix it is to stop being annoying and play nice

Reputation. Like in real life is how you treat others not what you think of yourself

This is widely used by all systems

If your friend knows the solution why don't he share it or maybe he just followed the link and got good rep by playing nice

 

If you get 7 complaints in one game then the issue isn't the community it's you

 

Change the way you play and communicate with others treat others nicely and you will get better rep just like in real life

 

If you don't communicate you do realize that's also bad sportmanship right? To play in team environments you must communicate with your team

Everything you do is reviewed by the community you have to realize that

 

I completely understand that and the fact people can have an opinion; but winning games isn't bad sportsmanship... Nothing i do is against the rules or developers intentions. If I somehow manage to get as many complaints as 7 in a game then obviously it
must be me. But thats the part im confused about, i play a variety of games mainly FPS but my playstyle is quite different each time. So im not consistently doing rhe same thing which people may not like neither breaking the rules. So what is it? I still feel
as if i have done nothing wrong and i am sitting here waiting and waiting for find games and all i can do is complain...

 

Bad sportmanship doesn't equal violation of the terms of use

It can also be annoying behaviour too

Like.repeat actions to.keep.items like keep away during a match

 

Also you are taking the long way to fix your rep

You can only.be matched with fellow avoid me rep people.and hope you changed your behaviour enough to not.get more complaints

Winning is fine

But winning poorly isnt that can lead to bad rep just like in real.life

Do you understand the difference?

You keepsake ball during.rhe game till.the timer.runs out or hide so the match drags on while.thr other team tries and find you or you hide or.camp.one spot while.your team does all.the work

Do you see how annoying that can be ?

You can use non party games like never winter or mmorpgs that has millions of players as long as you don't get bad complaints you can get the good rep gradually

 

Also team killing or no..mic can lead to complaints from your team members complaining against you

Avoid me tag does nothing they are telling the community that they never want to be matched with you

Hopefully for them theynwont be matched with you see the issue ?

But if they file a complaint that's what affects your actual rep including communications

If the community reviews it and finds it valid then that's when you get the demerits

If you are bragging in a lot of msgs that can be annoying and each MSG would count against you

 

See win nicely and noone will complain

It's not rocket science

Play well and treat others the same way you expect to be treated just in real.life that affects your reputation

If you are a well unmentionable do you really expect to have an good rep in real life no you wouldn't

 

I've read the enforcement thread many times. You use examples of annoying unsportsmanlike behaviour to explain to me the difference between a good and bad player. I have been of Xbox live for around 7 years on a few different accounts. This is the first
time i have ever heard of this problem and I'm confused as to why I have a bad reputation. That's why im here. I wouldn't complain if i knew why this has happened, you see my point of view?. Barely ever talk in game chat, i never brag, i would not consider
what i do annoying and you would think after 7 years or playing i know what is and isn't annoying. I get messages accusing me of cheating and for what? playing the objective? A few days before this reputation issue i tried to do the 'refer-a-friend' quest
on destiny (when a veteran helps out a brand new player and helps them reach max level) and I didn't think the system worked very well, as most of the players are left out on cool rewards exclusive to that quest. So I tried to find a new random player and
ask if they wanted to do it. I found one, eager for me to help him out but Bungie made it so that you have to send a link to the player which directs them to the website. Now i can see why a brand new player would not want to click on all these links and follow
these instructions because they just want to play. Thats fine. I was very polite and patient until he called me an idiot and accused me of cheating, he also reported me for bad language when i said nothing and he got very rude. 'Cheating' surely this is a
joke. I tried helping out someone new and i get put in the awful player bracket where i can never find games. Please define 'cheating' to me, as apparently i dont know what it is.
