The reputation system on Xbox Live is totally flawed and messed up. It's hurting good and nice players who are on Xbox Live and the reputation system is just not working. It has to be scrapped. If it's not going to be fixed, people will eventually stop playing
on Xbox Live and switch to PC, PS4 or Nintendo. I have had it, and I cannot deal with this anymore. Either scrap the Reputation System or I'm gonna be off to PlayStation.

    :)

Bye then,no one cares if you buy a Playstation but hope you have fun on it.

The rep system works perfectly fine.If it was as broken as you say there would be millions of people moaning about it but there isn't.

You can find out how it works here

My reputation score is falling, how do I improve my score?
Avoid activity that other players are likely to view as unfair or unsportsmanlike.

Certain types of behavior are widely-viewed as negative, inappropriate, or disruptive by the Xbox Live community, including but not limited to:

    • Team-killing or betraying other players
    • Going idle for long periods during gameplay
    • Intentionally or repeatedly crashing into other players in racing games
    • Frequently dropping out of multiplayer matches
    • Hoarding weapons or vehicles with the intent of preventing teammates from using them
    • Denying other players time to select a move or play in strategy or sports games
    • Being overly critical of the play style or shortcomings of other players
Even if you aren’t personally troubled by such behavior, keep in mind that reputation is a reflection of how the Xbox Live community at large views an account’s activities.

    Avoid making unsportsmanlike comments.

Smack talk is an understandable part of competitive online gaming, but not all players react to smack talk in the same way. Routinely making snarky or condescending comments, regardless of whether you won or lost the match, will increase the likelihood of
receiving negative feedback. Smack talk may be viewed as even less appropriate if the particular game or gametype that you’re playing is not intended to be competitive.

Reduce unwanted background noise and audio feedback.

Many players find background noise distracting and feel it disrupts the gaming experience. If your headset or Kinect microphone regularly picks up background noise (such as music, fans or air conditioning units, barking dogs, background conversations, etc.)
other players may not have a positive reaction. To ensure other players have a pleasant experience, consider finding ways to reduce background noise or mute your microphone when not talking.

Play a wide range of games and gametypes.

If you routinely receive negative feedback due to unsportsmanlike behavior or communications in a specific game or gametype, it may become more challenging to find good matches or new players in that game title. By playing different games and interacting
with other players in a positive and productive way, your reputation score can improve.

Basically you need to play online without getting reported. Try playing some other games. A lot of the free to play games are pretty good for helping to improve rep.

I know how the rep system works perfectly well.

Your rep does not go down instantly,it goes down over a period of months depending on your behaviour online.

Getting a thank you message because someone was suspended because of a report you filed has nothing whatsoever to do with it.They are just standard messages sometimes sent out by the enforcement team.

There's over 50 million people on xbox live,if it's as flawed as you think then there's be a lot more people complaining about it.

I really wouldn't take much notice of what you read on another site.

No one here can do anything, only you can improve your rep & you've been told how to do that.

Well you obviously don't know how it works because on sat my reputation was green totally fine and 1 day later in the Sunday is was avoid me so sorry to break it to you but your completely and utterly wrong it took 1 day for me to go from green to red that's
    just a fact

I appreciate the help on telling me how to improve the rep i genuinely do but as for this myth it's takes weeks to get to avoid I'm afraid your wrong!

I dont think you understand how things work at xbox or other consoles

When you file a report you don't get congratulated ever

Thank you for your report we will look into it is all you will ever get

    All reports are anonymos

You won't even know who gave you bad feedback so how would they know you reported them

Now rep is where you aren't understanding the issue

Rep has nothing to do with enforcement team

    Or you reporting

Reputation is how the community perceives you

And yes that is the only way to fix your rep

Play nice with others you can play with the avoid me crowd and stay in party only Games limited to 4 players or open non matchmaking Games like never winter etc

    Change your behaviour

I'm not even going to guess how you know the people are reping you

Because if you are doing something you shouldn't then don't do it

    And no their friends cant

You would have to msg them or play match against them

Rep system does detect invalid reports

So if you have had no contact they won't count ever

IfIf you want to fill in how you know they know that you reported them

Please fill it in because I can guess but I'm not going to assume

You have to get along with the community not just the pet team

You clearly don't understand how things work I was thanked by Xbox for filing a report and I was told they took action on the person I filed a report against there hundred if not thousands of people complaining about how this system is being abused I have
looked into this subject with some depth and have found the system is being manipulated so pleas don't tell me I don't understand how it works I even had a lengthy conversation on the phone with Microsoft a manager in fact who agreed with me that the system
had major flaws it's not a ban it's an automated reputation system so please do your own homework before you make comments there are some very interesting and in depth articles in this matter in Reddit I suggest you go and read them and listen to the hundreds
of gamers who have all been foul to this ridiculous system Xbox has put in place and then come back and make your comments!

Rep like real life reputation is based in others opibion of you not what you think of it
so your saying for example I play a game and do really well and then the game is over and the enemy team decides that their upset with me because they lost and now I suffer because of that? All I did was play the game I wasn't being unsportsmanlike or disrespectful
and was just simply playing the game.

This has nothing to do with my behavior and that is the point of this post other people having a problem with losing to me and not being good sports about the game result in my reputation loss I am not being unsportsmanlike but still suffer these consequences
due to immature people who don't realize that my gameplay is now being affected because of them
