LostKaus has stepped up to the plate! You can only report people you have played with, so Mr. Kaus has to send/accept friend requests and now play with those willing to leave false reports. Could be interesting. Maybe the results will put this issue to bed...maybe.

On the website their is the option to report and block people I haven't played with and don't have on my friends list.

Not true, you don't even have to play against someone to be able to report them on the xbox one.

I'm not going to say how to do it but it's really not hard to work out.

, it means they can see everything regarding your account - all of your profile info, all of your messages, (voice and text), see your online purchases and downloads, etc. To make it easy for you, take everything you can see and know regarding
your account - now, start believing that they can see and know even more than that. Believe it, because it's the truth.

That I understand but that does nothing to determine guilt or innocence concerning in-game conduct.

If GG and I are playing KI and I report him for communication or unsporting the only way to determine guilt or innocence is to watch the game. They would need to be recording video/voice for every single multiplayer game and then have a large enough staff
to watch/listen to determine what happened.

    You honestly believe that's happening?

I firmly believe that the only people getting banned/suspended/red rep is for voice/text messages, gamer tags that are easily verifiable. If they were actually doing everything you guys are claiming we would have a much better community than we do and that
hasn't happened.....same knuckleheads are doing the same things they always have in multiplayer.

@DaveyBoy - Knock yourself out. I haven't even played multiplayer on any Xbox consoles in probably a year. I would hope the system is smart enough to see that much at least.

@ EnenDaveyBoy and Daft Badger; there does seem to be a option to report on the website, though clicking on it opens up

    support.xbox.com/.../report-gamer-for-bad-conduct
    .

Personally don't plan on reporting LostKaus even with his invitation, but if you two know the secret to reporting without playing...spill it! Let's find out if the system is flawed or not. Maybe it's not even a secret and common knowledge. Lol.

but if you two know the secret to reporting without playing...spill it!

    I wasn't aware it was a secret.

It's a simple matter of searching for the gamer tag and reporting. You have some of the more scandalous gaming forums that list people to grief for a variety of reasons and people will report without ever playing with the person.

Haven't really had a reason to look up someones gamer tag and report them, though will admit when EnenDaveyBoy and Daft Badger said it could be done, I tried it and got this support.xbox.com/.../report-gamer-for-bad-conduct; seems, by this link, it has to
    be done on the console.

My steps...Clicked on Daft Badger s gamer tag, which took me to his profile. Clicked on "Report" which took me to the above link. I wasn't going to submit the report (Have nothing against Daft Badger!), but wanted to see what the process would be; I was
fairly certain there was more to just hitting "report", i.e., reason, etc..

Personally never had a problem with reputation, but would find it interesting if the system is flawed like some say or if they've gotten what they "deserve".

I would fall in the "The system can be manipulated!" camp. Let's hope Lost Kaus hasn't started something that could come back to haunt him.

    Peace, J.R.

The system is flawed which is why it's being looked into but I would like to think that constantly reporting people you haven't even played against is not going to end well for you/the person reporting.

I'm not sure it's flawed but rather I'm more inclined to see it as nothing more than a marketing tool to give gamers the warm and fuzzy feeling that they are making their community a better place.

Look no further than the ban/suspension forums.....people aren't being punished for the things that impact our daily gaming experience. They are only getting punished for things where they have handed MS the evidence to justify the ban/suspension (text/voice
    messages, inappropriate GT's, etc).

I would hope those "false reporting" would have action taken against them. I would also hope that the reporting system has been improved since the 360, since they can essentially make it impossible to play with others if your rep goes down.

    Peace, J.R.

They do seem to be concentrating more on communication offences than anything else lately.

That being said, the enforcement forums are now redundant as they've bought in a new system now where you have to ask for a review of any enforcement action on your account.

Still doesn't solve the problem that people who play Halo MCC seem to be having, something definitely needs to be looked at but for the most part I think the current rep system works ok,just needs a bit of refinement

Hold on, either it works as claimed (broken) or it doesn't. They are trying to claim False Reports work. I'm taking them up on that claim. If it works as if they say, they have nothing to lose. It should not be an invalid claim
simply from me calling bull on it.

Meh, I'll just throw this in there with my 9 year old challenge to hack me. Both are equal in no teeth.
