Reputation avoid me

Please fix this reputation system. The solution I've read all over the web (including Microsoft's support channels) is to play more online massive games. How am I supposed to play games I like if I cannot find a single match? Am I being forced to play games
I dislike? Or even worse, spend money on them?

Consider cases like one I found in one forum. A user says he had any issue with his account, but suddenly, he played Overwatch and wasn't able to use his mic. He got reported from an entire team and what happened? He got into "Reputation avoid me". I mean,
just for not having a Mic? Mine is broken, will I get into reputation avoid me just because I have no mic? Is this correct? Is this how the system is supposed to work? I've also encountered people who have been in this avoid me state for 6 months! That is,
half of the time for a service they paid for and now is pretty much useless.

This thing can stack with any previous penalty you get. In my case I got suspended, and waited 2 weeks to play any online game. Then, after one day I got this reputation thing. Lets add... so far is 3 weeks without being able to
play... And there's no timeframe as Microsoft support replied when inquired.

If 80% of your fellow players you play against says you are a bad sportmans then maybe you should change your behaviour it's not rocket science

And fyi legal threats or polling for one is a violation of the terms of use of the forums

 

Again... I haven't played Xbox for two days. Just turned the console on and checked my profile and I'm back in reputation avoid me. I stayed in "reputation needs work" for one day, played OW and now I'm back to the same avoid me thing...

What happened?

Case 1: There was a leaver in my team. I reported him and message him that I had just reported him for his behavior. He answered me back and said he was going to do the same thing. For what? (here we can easily see that anyone can report you just because
they want to, it doesn't even have to be true in order to affect your reputation)

Case 2: I played Widowmaker and as soon as the game ended, a guy wrote me a bunch of things with insults among them (this guy has the rep in needs work) I did not insult him back just warned him about this and he said he would report me too. Again... for
what? I reported him for insulting me and I can see this guy is still fine with his "needs work" rep playing online OW while my account is again in avoid me rep.

Is this fair? I was insulted, I suffered a team loss and both guys are just fine playing OW, even though their conduct isn't ok and I'm back again to this reputation avoid me thing which clearly is not working as it's meant and will not let me play normally
any online multiplayer game. Overwatch won't even find a single game if I'm in this rep.

I spent one hour with Microsoft support just to tell me it's not in their borderline to solve this issues. So basically I have to deal with this unfair stuff and play a week, two or maybe even more some games I really do not enjoy to improve my reputation
which was affected by some guys who REALLY deserve some penalties in their accounts.

The real question in all this is... for how long will I be in "needs work" reputation? I mean... maybe an hour, two? until some random guy I encounter in a Overwatch (the only game I play) decides to report me only because he wants to (I don't even have
to have direct interaction via messaging or voice or whatever with him) then what... back to "avoid me" and this situation can become an infinite loop.
