    Reporting a Hacked Account


    I recently tried to log into my xbox and was met with a notification instructing me to relog in and my password would not work. I reset the password and used my email to get the verification code for the reset. I noticed that somehow someone else had reset
    my password 24 hours before. I became curious and decided to lock down my email address with a new password and the paypal associated with that email just to be safe. I log into Paypal and paypal greats me with a notification that there has been suspicious
    activity with my account from a state I do not live in and a new transaction for a gift card I had not bought from (you guessed it) exactly 24 hours ago. I have reset my password for my paypal, microsoft, and email but I want to actually report the break in
    to microsoft while the transaction is going through its dispute process. I am hoping that if Microsoft knows the gift card pin he received it could trace the hacker who now potentially has all my credit card and email information. Also in the mean time other
    than calling every credit card I have and Paypal what else can I do to make sure my private information is not publicly accessible.

    Well, without proof that it was hacked/stolen it wouldn't be locked.. for example, if someone reported my account as being stolen or hacked.. they would need proof to support their report. Did you provide proof?

    Why not file a police report. Hacking an account is a federal crime.

    If this was indeed a hack to your account, you should use the report feature on you console to report the user(s) responsible

    Contact Mojang to report the account hacking and ask for a replacement of your code.
