    Reported for cheating when I didn't


    I was in a game of GTA online and somebody was shooting me so I put a sticky bomb on the ground and blew myself up so he wouldn't kill me later I revived a notice of enforcement action message the ban said it would last until 6 in the morning the next day
    I came online and I couldn't join any multiplayer games or party's then I realised that my Xbox live had run out but the message that told me I couldn't join said I was banned

    If you haven't done anything then nothing will happen. The enforcement team investigates all complaints so they will only issue a suspension if they determine you have done something to violate the code of conduct.

    Hi all long time Xbox user and first time poster on the forums but 10 minutes ago was reported for cheating on Titanfall 2. I've never cheated at a video game in my life and I've been gaming for years and years. I don't know how to cheat for a start and
    I can't stand the thought of cheating. Why do people do this and what action might Xbox take?

    but i thought MS said they have a way of making sure they don't suspend people who didn't cheat. in other words, if the kid who was killed while camping reports you for cheating when you didn't really cheat, xbox live enforcement can tell and won't suspend
    you.

    Reporting a player in any game doesn't necessarily mean you'll be given an enforcement action. Both developers and the Xbox Policy & Enforcement team investigate the cases reported and make decisions based on their findings. So as long as you don't have
    cheating software on your device, and you didn't actually cheat, you'll be okay.

    Please kind mind: You'll find in a lot of PvP games, you'll get reported a lot when you're having those good matches. And even sometimes when you have really bad ones.

    If you feel a suspension is in error, you can submit a case review request at
    https://enforcement.xbox.com    . Only an enforcement team member can respond to any enforcement actions they issue, and they don't use the forums.

    Keep in mind suspensions are issued after a reported incident has been investigated, and investigations take time.
