Report player for DDos attack

I experienced a DDos attack at about 7:30 January, 8 2015. This person has kept my internet down for 8 hours now. His gamertag is
[Mod Removed]. If possible I would like to report him to the police as well, as this is considered cyber terrorism. Please do what you can

I got DDOSed yesterday

You are not allowed to name and shame other players on the forums.

Use the dashboard reporting tools to report the player (go to their bio and select File Complaint then follow instructions)

DDoS attacks are illegal. Contact your local law enforcement agency and report them.

Finally contact your ISP provider and tell them you were the victim of a DDoS attack. They will issue you a new IP address.

If anyone threatened your life you should speak to your parents and they can report it to the police and the police can contact MS for more info on that person. For the DDoS you need contact your ISP to report DDoS attack so they can either give you different
IP or setup some sort of security measure on the network against DDoS.

 

You will need to file a complaint via the console in order for the enforcement team to investigate. Calling out other gamers is not allowed on the forums. You'll also want to contact your ISP since the attack is through your internet connection and not Live.

Support typically sends people to the forums with incorrect information. The enforcement team do not read/post in these threads so they do not take reports in the forums. They will only take complaints filed on the console.

 

The forum has a no name and shame rule. So in fact support sending people here to report is more likely to get them suspended from the forum rather than the offender from Live.

Do the different parts of Xbox not communicate?

You are not allowed to call out gamertags on the forums.

As mentioned already,the only way to report someone is via your console
enforcement.xbox.com/.../HowTo & to contact your isp if you do suffer a ddos attack.
