I didn't realize Edge is on PC too, and APOLOGIZE for being wrong.

Like I mentioned, I don't have a PC, but I didn't clarify because a solution was found (again, thankyou).

What IS wrong with being clear by asking questions, like you did, instead of putting a different meaning to MY replies?

This would be so much clearer if the 2nd thread about this was still open, and Maxen locked this thread instead....

The procedure you described isn't a power-cycle that will clear the console's data cache. With the console powered up, you would press and hold the power button on the face of the console for several seconds, holding it down until it shuts off. Then, you
would unplug it and let it sit for a couple of minutes. After that, plug it back up and power it on once, and everything should be cleared up. It is holding down the power button that tells it to clear the data cache.

The Xbox Insider program allows users to test out new features, including system updates, before they are released to the general public. It does sound like you're not part of it; you can install the Xbox Insider app to learn more and see how it works. After
downloading it, you still have to opt into features you want to test.

I was in that program on 360 but I didn't like how it messed with functionality, so I quit from it well before I got a One.

When I power cycle I do hold the button for 4 seconds (a hard shutdown) but I thought the cache is cleared when there's no power to sustain it, regardless of whether there was a 'hard off' or not, is that wrong?

Holding down the power button until shutdown is what essentially commands the console to dump the cache. The presence or absence of power doesn't clear it. And, most data is cleared out by the console normally ... the power-cycle gets rid of stuff that
wasn't cleared out properly.

Hi,

Edge is not console only. It's the next version of the old Internet Explorer, which is available on PC and Xbox consoles.

Are you participating in the Xbox Insider program? If yes, maybe the app isn't working properly, since it's also a beta.

I have had also some issues with the Edge browser.

Maybe you and maxen should think while reading (memory of whats been said would help too) and STOP jumping on the assumption train that WAY too many are riding.

As far as I know, EDGE is CONSOLE ONLY.

In that thread, you were given advice on how to use a different browser, specifically through a PC. Your final post in that thread states "Cheers, I already tried that, hence my ability to reply now. Can I remove
this post somehow?" By posting that it sounds as though things are working for you through a different browser and you were okay with it. Hence why maxen stated you seemed content with using a better browser through a PC.
