    Replacing internal hard drive ok?

I need to replace my Xbox One internal hard drive using the iFixit guide. I remember reading years ago that doing so in a Xbox 360 could get you banned from Xbox Live, including your console. Is this true for Xbox One?

    :)

    XBOX ONE-1TB HARD DRIVE ???

Removing and replacing the hard drive voids your warranty. It is probably do able but it would be tricky to do. The hard drive is internal and requires opening up the case to do so.

Replacing the internal hard drive of a One would be a violation of the terms of service and cannot be discussed on these forums.

Do you have a link to the TOS that states this? I wasn't able to find anything about this.

gds has the right answer for you. This is listed under the Code of Conduct he linked to, specifically this part:

Not only can it result in a ban from the services, but it will also void your warranty if you still have one (or we will not fix an out-of-warranty repair if it has been tampered with). Additionally, we do not allow self-repair talk on our Support Forums.

    Hey, demon!

gds has the right answer for you. This is listed under the Code of Conduct he linked to, specifically this part:

Don't cheat or tamper. For example, don't:

    • Use unauthorized hardware or software
    • Exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches
    • Make unauthorized modifications to your account profile or its contents (e.g., tenure, Avatar, game saves, Gamerscore, achievements)
    • Intentionally play with someone who is using unauthorized software or methods
Not only can it result in a ban from the services, but it will also void your warranty if you still have one (or we will not fix an out-of-warranty repair if it has been tampered with). Additionally, we do not allow self-repair talk on our Support Forums.

    Xbox One is still missing....

    Ok, here's the response:

1: I agree, they should have more languages.

2: Why? if they did have some sort of hard drive testing app and it reported some bad sectors on the hard drive, what can you do about it? I agree that if an external hard drive has bad sectors you could replace it, but what about the internal one? you
    cant replace that.

3: What's wrong with just having a percentage?
