Replacement

Recently my headset has been very uncooperative and at times does not only like to not let me hear people, but won't let me talk either. Sometimes a combination of the two, unless I perform some sort of yoga with the cord that allows it to to work once
every blue moon. I am becoming livid at trying to request a replacement and failing to do so because I cannot navigate anywhere on xbox support without a serial number. That, no email to send to, anything really helpful that would prove beneficial at some
point. So is there any point to posting this on the forum? Can I get some sort of help for once in replacing this headset?

If they can fix the problem on your old xbox they'll just send your old console back with the replacement parts installed. If not then you'll get a replacement console. There's no loyal customer scheme when it comes to repairs.

Just wanted to know if anyone knows xbox's policies on console replacements. I currently have my xbox being repaired under warranty and this is the fourth time in three years that I've had to send it out. Outside of the inconvenience of not being able to
play my xbox for about a month at a time, I was wondering if anyone knew if microsoft would just replace my xbox with a new console with me being a loyal customer or would they again try to fix the problem and send me my original xbox back?

you can contact support via a number of methods
here - this lets you talk directly with them so hopefully one of them will be able to help you get sorted. The forum team can't book repairs for you and will only probably only be able to send you onto the online booking service - which I think always needs
that serial number.

Where would the serial number be? I don't think or know if I have what the headset came in because I got my xbox and accessories day one.

the serial number you might need would be the one on your console - it should be on a sticker underneath I think. You can also find it in the Console Info screen in Settings (along with the console ID which is sometimes needed for repairs so make a note
of it as well!).

If you have registered your console before it might be on the
myservice site already - or you can add it there yourself. Once the console is listed it gives you options for sorting out accessories etc.
