    Replacement Xbox One Concerns


    So... having received my copy of Dragon's Age Inquisition today as opposed to tomorrow (I never usually get anything early), my disk drive decides to stop working, i.e. stop reading disks. I first became aware of the issue when I bought Sunset Overdrive
    and have since returned the disc and am currently awaiting a new copy. However, today the same problem presented itself, albeit with a loud crunching noise. Fortunately the retailer is prepared to give me a brand new console in exchange for the faulty one,
    but I have some concerns that I hope one of you helpful chaps could clear up for me.

    Firstly, my game saves. Are my saves stored in the cloud? E.g. when I get the new console can I continue where I left off on all of the games I currently own?

    Secondly, DLC attributed to a specific edition with a game, e.g. the limited edition of Destiny and the content that came along with it, i.e. "The Dark Below" and the "House of Wolves", etc. Will that content still be available for me when I get the new
    console?

    I hope one of you guys can answer these questions and help put my mind at ease.

    Thank you, Hydro Skillet. You've given me some peace of mind. I'll be sure to set my current console to factory settings on the Sunday, before it gets picked up on Monday. I was told by the retailer that I will get my replacement console the following
    day, the Tuesday.

    I got a new console and all my saves were still there except for my sons save file on Forza dont know what happened to it and he wasn't best pleased especially when he seen mine was still there and I haven't played that much of it !!

    My dlc pack for Trials was fine so I would imagine you should be ok

    Sorry about your Xbox issues. See answers to you questions below.

    Are my saves stored in the cloud? Yes they sure are :) you can start right where you left off with a new console.

    Will that content still be available for me when I get the new console? Yes. The DLC is tied to your account not your Xbox. I would make sure you set the xbox to "not your home console" prior to the exchange, and possibly even restoring it to factory to
    protect your account security. But yes your DLC will be available after you sign in on the new console.

    The solution I was looking at was replacing with an Xbox one X so i'm not too concerned with warranty voiding. The sound is definitely not just startup turbo fan sounds, it is a concerning rattle, this is why I suspected an obstruction.

    Can not be categorical about such a case. The repair does not seem to be important and should not lead to replacement by a standard Xbox One X console but I fully understand
    your concern by myself owning a Scorpio edition.
