Replacement Xbox not Playing Disc Games

Alright, so here we go.

A few weeks ago my Xbox One X which I purchased November of 2017 started having login issues. I had the settings set to Instant Turn On and it would auto log in my Live Profile. However, it stopped doing that, I had purchased an extended warranty through
Best Buy and brought the system in to them, they sent it out for "repair or replacement" Microsoft apparently chose to replace it after my system was gone for 2 weeks.

Okay, no problem, I have my games on an external hard drive, I'll just plug that baby in and off we go!

The first game up was Destiny 2 the game loaded fine and it went to the initial loading screen where the logo of the 3 classes rotates around, normally this lasts for a few seconds before the main screen loads and you press A to log into your Destiny profile.
However, that never happened. Minutes went by, I figured maybe there was an issue with the Destiny servers and tried another game, this time FIFA 19. However, that too started the initial load up and never went to any kind of main menu screen. NHL 18? Same
result. Now, I looked on my game list and saw that several games which I KNOW were still installed on the Hard Drive were no longer listed, one being Madden 19 and also Battlefield V. When I inserted the Madden 19 disc the Xbox began to "install" the game
on the Hard Drive where it already existed.

Now, I spoke with Microsoft Support the next day, I tried various trouble shooting methods (Checking NAT connections, making sure Blu Ray Player was installed, etc) and none seemed to work. The tech told me that sometimes external hard drives lose "connections"
when you swap them to new Xboxes.

Okay, I figured. My very last resort was to format my external Hard Drive. I formatted it not long after I had to get off the phone with tech support and set up a queue to reinstall some games while I was at work.

Now one interesting thing to note is that in my limited testing, Digital Only games seemed to load. I fired up Cuphead and that seemed to load just fine. Before formatting my External Drive I also started installing Kingdom Hearts III which had come out while
my previous Xbox was away at Microsoft. It installed fine and I was actually able to load and play the game. KHIII had no prior association with my old xbox or my profile. I was told to try installing a game to the internal HD which I'm currently doing
with Madden 19, I reinstalled FIFA 19 on my external and copied it to my internal drive but it just went to a black screen when I tried to start up the game. Madden 19 will be the first game with a completely clean install to the Internal drive.

However, I don't think this is an issue with my Hard Drive, I feel like this is some kind of issue with the Xbox Service and my Profile, the issues seem to stem from when I try to load up my games, the games themselves seemed to load just fine, but when the
game tried to connect through the live service there seemed to be some kind of issue. Now, in the past I've had the loading thing of "we're getting your game ready" or some kind of syncing bar, however that didn't seem to pop up with any of these games. I
also played a blu ray disc on the Xbox just to ensure that the system itself wasn't experiencing some kind of disc playing issues and the Blu Ray loaded just fine.

I don't think this is an issue with my external HD, I've had external HDs
[Mod Removed - Profanity] out on me before and they just stop existing to the Xbox, however, if the internal game installation doesn't work I don't know what else I can do.

Edit: Follow up, the installation to the internal drive did nothing. This is clearly some kind of issue with Xbox Live/The Cloud, I just sat here for a couple of minutes with no change.

Further edit: Madden 19 finally did load after a few minutes went by, might have to try the long load for other games as well.
