    Replacement unit connection issues


    I had an issue with my original Xbox360 and under warranty a replacement unit was shipped. I have a Lego Dimension unit that worked on the original Xbox360 but it appears that the connection does not work with the replacement unit. The area where you plug
    in the controllers (both front and back) work fine but the connector on the Dimension unit appears to be a different design. The connector does not have a hollow area like the controller does. I will be honest and say that I did not pay attention to the
    connectors on the old unit. Is there a difference?

    Any assistance would be great!!!

    BravesBall20,

    If you are having disk read issues you should return the unit or get a replacement unit. My error is related to ejecting the disk and replacing it with another while the device is in standby.

    I don't have a Lego dimension but i'm assuming you are referring to the USB ports?

    Are you saying the USB connecter on the Demension unit looks solid.

    Could it be that there is something stuck in the USB connecter on the Dimension or it has been crushed making it look solid?

    The USB ports where you plug a wired controller into (both front and back). The controller connector is keyed so that it is only possible to connect one way. The opening on a wired controller must be in the top so that the console connector key would slide
    into it. The dimension pad does not have that opening but a white piece. I think it has always been there but not sure since I never had an issue connecting the two together.

    Purchased a Kinect-less unit and had the grinding sound, returned unit for swap out and again the same issue. Went to the store to replace it again and we powered on the 2rd unit in the store, again same issue?
