replacement of series x console

I have had my series x for about 2 months and it kept shutting itself off randomly. I sent it back to Microsoft for a warranty replacement about 10 days ago via Microsoft instructions and dropping it off at a UPS facility with the MS shipping label provided. When I track the package, it's been sitting in New Mexico for about a week with no movement from UPS and it says "A damage has been reported and we will notify the sender."

I have contacted MS via phone, and the person I spoke with said that there are delays, and they are working on it, she wouldn't tell me anything past that. She said that they are working on sending me a new unit, but there are delays. I said that certainly they wont send me a new unit until they received my old unit, right? She said that once I send it via UPS, MS typically send out the new unit right away. That makes no sense to me....How would MS know that I'm not sending them a box of rocks?? Anyway, I contacted UPS, and they can tell me nothing other than a damage has occurred, and they have notified the shipper, who is MS.

I feel like I'm stuck in limbo....what can I do?

This is the same issue I had with X Series X console. It's a hardware fault. You will need to get the console repaired or replaced under warranty.

Honestly there isn't much else you can do right now as your package is in other hands. More than likely MS customer service only knows about as much as you do and UPS probably can't release more details than listed for shipments in transit for privacy and security. Last time I sent in a controller for repairs, I didn't know it even reached MS until I received my replacement about 2 weeks later. There is a good chance yours is on the way and simply experiencing delays like much of the country currently is. If you still don't see an update within another 48 hours, try to follow up on your inquiry.

standard xbox one controllers have been replaced with the series s/x controllers that work with all xbox one consoles and the new series s and x and even pc. they are readily in stock all over the uk, try argos.

why not keep it.In my opinion you should keep it so people have more console to chose from.

also are xbox one x and xbox series x are the same?

What started as a subtle noise on my first 6 month old Series X turned into a complete failure of the disc drive and the console was replaced under warranty.

Don't leave it to late to get it repaired or replaced under warranty.
