    Replaced controller, headset, any doesn't work.


    Just replaced my controller. I synced it, did everything the troubleshooting thread said, etc. But my headset or headphones, even, do not work. I can't hear sound or speak. Yet, my other controller acknowledges that it's plugged in and I can hear and talk
    fine.

    I have exhausted everything I could find and think of with no solution.

    The firmware is up to date. My headset is Beexcellent. The headphones I tried were Skull Candy. Both of those work just fine in my old controller.

    If anyone could please help me, I would be eternally grateful... I can't use my other controller as the RB doesn't work.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums am truly sorry your experiencing this issue. I have read the previous comment from LegendDolby1986 I hope that had worked if not I just want check to see if you have a adapter which connects at the bottom of your
    controller and you plug your mic in. because previously I had this problem and I went and bought one and worked very well and still have the same adapter and had no problems.

    If you do have Adapter and you have tried I would recommend bring Controller and headset back to the retailer where you got it from and also bring your receipt to.

    Hi there only certain headsets work on the xbox one are you using an adapter? Sometimes the firmware gets a bit funny try these steps

    1. Plug your controller into your xbox one with the attached headset

    2. Go to firmware update and update the controller even if there is no update available

    3.make sure you do not touch the controller while it's updating

    I just checked the headset on my phone and they work perfectly fine.
    Do you have a second controller that you can check with the headset? Because it seems that the headset connector on that controller is defective, if not even sound output works, and the console doesn't detect the microphone.
