Replace Xbox one S HDD to SDD

That would be classed as console tampering which is against the ToU/CoC.

It's also something that is not allowed to be discussed on the forums.

I haven't even come close to filling my 250g now (still have 189g) so a 500 probably be too much for me personally. What I do like is the idea of being able to replace it with an SDD drive in the future. (Once the price drops.) As I understand it, SDD's
are a great deal faster than HDD's and that could come in handy.

Is the SSD powered or USB powered ? Ive found that depending on console i.e. Standard or the SSD Standard or S or X models will impact the HDD/SDD depending on how many other USB ports you are using and if they are powered or unpowered connections - I recall
a while back reading here that if you have a HDD/SDD plugged in it would limit your wireless controller to line of sight otherwise it couldn't detect the controller - anyone else remember that ? Is this the right path and potentially the root cause of FwoGiZ
issues ?

I've power cycled the xbox and completed a soft reset.

The HDD is responding as normal and intended.

The SDD is recognized by only the right USB port when looking at the back, not the left. After being recognized for a few seconds, it disappears and cannot be accessed.

I tried swapping out for two separate cables, yet with both of these, the same error code is displayed.

As of now, it will not recognize the SDD at all, but the HDD is working properly.

Ok, two things.

1: It isn't April 1st and hasn't been for two weeks......................so welcome to two weeks ago.

2: If they did do an SSD version, the internal HDD would be tiny (maybe 250GB if your lucky) or it would be really expensive.

For example, a 1TB internal HDD is roughly £35, you cant get an SDD for that, the cheapest is roughly £60 for 250GB. To get a 1TB SDD you are looking at between £200 and £300.
