Replace scratched CD

Take it into any game store,they will usually have a disc cleaning machine that will remove all scratches for a very small fee.

have you checked if it is scratched. stores sell stuff for scratched cds. Try wiping the cd with a soft cloth do not wipe in a circular motion as you will scratch it more. Wipe its from the center of the cd to the outer edge in a straight line. Repeat around
the whole cd.

Before you install to your hard drive, you may want to try some type of disc repair product. When I kept getting a disc read error on the first Gears of War at the start of the fight with Raam, I used a product called
Scratch Out! and the problem stopped. I have seen it at the dollar stores and at Best Buy. You can find a variety of products to use, but this is very inexpensive. (Sorry if I sound like a commercial)

I also know from experience that once installed, you should have no problems playing. I used my disc to install Reach for a friend when his disc cracked, and he never had problems using his disc to play the installed game.

This might be a better option than buying a digital 2ND copy of your game; it's certainly a cheaper one if it fixes your disc long enough to install it.

As the previous ambassador has said, you can purchase games on demand (off the marketplace, no disc required) However, before you go spending money that may not be needed to be spent, try

installing your game to your hard drive! However, there is no guarantee it will still be functional, as the disc is always required to be used (unless as previously said, off the marketplace) to play the game! But that link, will guide you on how to install

Please follow these instructions to search for the game you want to download.

From the Dashboard scroll over to the 'Games" tab & click on the 'Browse Games' box.

From there, scroll over to the 'On Demand' tab & click on the 'Search Games' box. Now search for the game your looking for.
