    Dear,

    My hard drive seems to be out of service in my Xbox One.

    When I start my Xbox I hear the disk making a "clicking" noise.

    My question is can I replace the hard drive in order to play again with my Xbox. I don't want to be banned from the Xbox live for this operation.

    Cannot play games from HDD... most of the time

    Here you can troubleshoot your Xbox Hard Drive problems.
    support.xbox.com/.../hard-drive     Maybe you should replace the hard drive and this time use the correct hard drive for the console rather than modding an older one.

    If you attempt to repair the Xbox One yourself it is likely to get a device ban and prevented from connecting to the Xbox One servers. If you believe your console need to be sent for service please use the link below and you should be able to arrange this.

    Also if you have not already done so it might be worth resetting the console to factory defaults.

    What do you mean you were "replacing" the hard drive?

    Did you actually open the Xbox One and replaced the built in hard drive? Or did you replace an external USB hard drive?

    What Xbox 360 games are you trying to play? Are you using Disc based games, or digital download games?

    Discussions about replacing the internal drive are forbidden on these forums. Unlike the PS4, the Xbox One One hard drive is not user replaceable.

    There is no need to replace it anyway as that's what external storage support is for.
