Replace data game without download anything again

Ah, I was not aware that the hard drive was responsible for the backwards compatibility. My hard drive is a 250Gb, So I would rather not replace it. Is there anything I can do to possibly fix the issue without replacing it? I would rather wipe/reformat it
(after copying save game and account data) if I could get a confirmation that doing so might actually work.

Flight Simulator contains a large number of assets and world and terrain data. You have to replace large chunks of data, so for example if they change a wing, you have to download the plane again. This is a major world update that contains a large number of changes, corrections and improvements to mapping data as well as game assets

World updates happen every other month

i have seen where a lot of games require massive changes and they download near enough the entire game again to replace the altered files, i have had a 45GB game update with 40GB of data and the game still only takes 45GB of space. xbox is weird like that.

Poster above is correct! You also have the option to transfer data through the usb data transfer kit. Everything you have now will transfer without downloading again! Hope that helps!

So far i've tried running Gears of war 3 and Castle Crashers.

the game just starts as normal, but a message appears saying "downloading profile data" but the loading bar just stays the same without loading anything, the game starts but without logging into my profile. Then i try downloading my xbox 360 profile from
the dashboard but it says "can't connect to xbox live"
