    Replace a digital game with a hard copy


    We have the MCC edition XBOX. the games came installed already. The whole collection was accidentally deleted during an update attempt. We have very poor satellite internet. It is basically improbable for us to re download all of these games plus all of the updates that will be required. We are playing our Xbox offline right now due to data restrictions.

    Is there any possible way to receive a replacement hard copy even though we only owned it digitally? It shows on my Profile that we own it and just need to download it.

    I would rather have a hard copy than digital or subscription based, least I will be able to play the hard copy when I want and the hard copy is mine, with digital copies they can withdraw there availability at any time and that is it, gone for good. If
    all full games become digital downloads only then I will be done with current and future gaming, plenty of old games on older machines for me to play and at a fraction of the price.

    No, you can't exchange hard copy to digital. Best way to sell the game to someone and then bought digital copy by web on xbox.com.

    Unfortunately no, a retail hard copy cannot be converted to a full digital copy. My advice would be to ask the shop you are getting it from, to replace it with a digital copy if they have the ability to do so. Failing that, you could always try Ubisoft but
    that may prove a long shot as its not their responsibility to exchange format on a retailers set bundle.
