Repetitive Skype Notifications

Whenever I receive a message through the Skype app on my Xbox One, the notification pop-up never only appears once. Instead, it always appears no less than 3x. This has been happening since the console's release and I've complained about it before, but since
it's a minor annoyance, I never really did much more than that. Then, the other day while a friend made a Skype call to me for the 1st time ever, The notification with the annoying Skype ringing sound kept popping up over and over again even after the call
had already started and made it really hard to actually communicate with my friend since it kept interrupting us. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it? I've already tried a hard reset and re-installing the app, both of which didn't seem to
work.

No Skype notification for calls

Hello !

all my setting are set " active " for Skype notifications but still no notifications CALLS when im outside Skype app ( for example during a game or in the dashboard Home ). I see only message notifications but no calls. I can only see calls notification
inside Skype app. Skype settings are also set to " yes " for all notifications...

im inrolled on beta.

 

Repetitive Signed In Notification

Although I've been signed in online for over an hour now, friends are still receiving frequent notifications that I have just signed in. Is this a bug that Microsoft is aware of and looking into? Or is it an isolated problem to me and if so does anyone know
how to fix it? As it must be annoying to all my friends.

 

Yep I've had this issue too since launch day.

Have I experienced it on my Xbox One? No... but then, the reason for that is... I don't use my Xbox One to Skype. I use my other 18 devices that have Skype on it. (Ok, maybe 18 was a lil exaggerated but you may get what
I'm saying) Maybe use a laptop or tablet or phone or... anything else?

 

That doesn't help if you wanna video chat on your TV Goth.

 

@ An Xbox Dude, Some of us bought our gaming consoles to play games... but your right! I didn't solve Galactic's problem, but I did give him some other options to Skype. I apologize that
my comment wasn't as helpful as your first comment. Oh wait... that didn't help Galactic video chat on his tv either.

Sign out of Skype, and use a telephone like normal folk...problem solved

 

Goth, I like you, but your post really was unhelpful. And Akame, your post was outright demeaning - who are you to say that just because I like to use Skype on my console that I'm anything but normal? Shame on you!

If you're not going say anything nice or helpful, please don't waste your time or mine by replying...

 

My post was helpful. Signout of Skype. Just because you get all sensitive that someone doesn't give the answer you want to hear doesn't mean its not a correct answer. And demeaning??? If that's what you consider demeaning you really are overly sensitive.

 

Akame, what you offered was not a solution at all, but a way to avoid the issue altogether. Avoiding a problem won't fix it.

 

A sensitive bunch you all are. Expect for Akame, he's pretty funny on Twitter. Also there really is no solution to this problem. It seems to just be a bug in the app that needs to be fixed. Also it not a gaming console, its the "All in One Entertainment
System" lol.

 

I don't turn skype on, on my xbox since its always on on my phone, so I don't have the issue.

I don't have the multiple notification problem with Skype on the X Box One. I use "Energy Saver" if that helps.

Personally like Skype on the X1; get to catch up with my older brother while playing some Titanfall. Also comes in handy when Ma and Pa want to see him and the grandchildren, as it's much easier than showing them on a 5" phone.
