Repetitive daily console update. Please help.

For months now I have had to download a console update nearly every day when I turn on my xbox. It's almost always around 260 mb. Anytime I unplug my xbox and start it up again I am forced to download around 2 gigs of updates. Both of these scenarios download
and install as if it has never been done before.

I would really like a solution that allows me to use my xbox without downloading updates i've already downloaded every single time I use it.

Xbox won't update. Hasn't since December 10

My console hasn't updated since December 10th, 2016. I have been in the preview program for a year and six months and my console has daily update checks as well, still nothing. Somebody please help me.

Same thing keeps happening to me. You're not alone.

 

My Xbox does the exam same thing. Every time I'm in the middle of a game, it updates. It is so frustrating, I've scoured the world wide web for a solution, to no avail.

Sorry to hear about the issue! I suggest setting your console in 'Instant On' mode, as that will allow updates to happen in the background.

To find that feature follow these steps below:

• Press the menu button on your Xbox One controller and select 'Settings'.
• In the Settings menu, select 'Power & startup'.
• Under power options, select 'Instant-on'.
