  1. Repairing an Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2

About 3 months ago, my dad got me an Xbox Elite 2 controller for my birthday. Up until a couple days ago it was working perfectly and was awesome. However, out of nowhere, the left bumper began to respond less. Right now, it sometimes works how it should
(it activates the moment it clicks), but more often it will click, then require additional pressure before it responds.

I have been trying to request either a repair or a replacement, but neither seem to be working. I registered the device on my activation page, and it says I have warranty on the controller through 8/28/2021. This makes sense because Microsoft extended the
warranty for these controllers due to an increase in issues with them. Here are the two main solutions I tried:

On the device page you can start a service order online. I clicked this option, and it prompted me to select the "category" for my problem and the "issue type". I selected "Device" for the category, then "Bumper issue" for the issue type. Upon selecting
"bumper issue", the page told me "We can't continue this order. For assistance, contact us."
The contact us page had me select details about my issue. I selected "hardware issues", then "my controller isn't working right", then "Xbox One". This gave me a link to the replacement request page, which is the second solution I tried.

On the replacement request page, it says that if the controller isn't working right, to put the serial number in the bottom of the page. Upon doing this, it tells me that my controller is no longer under warranty and
that I can buy a replacement at the Xbox store. This makes no sense to me, as I mentioned before, the warranty showed on my account devices page says the warranty is good until next August, so there is no way that the warranty has already expired. This was
a $180 controller, I don't have that kind of money to buy a replacement even if I wanted to.

The contact page keeps sending me around and around in circles back to those pages, and there doesn't seem to be any clear way to fix this. I used to have a normal Xbox one controller that worked for almost 2 years
before breaking, so it's infuriating that a controller of this price and quality would break in the first 3 months, but I understand that there can be issues with production and that stuff like this happens. However, the more aggravating issue is that I can't
seem to find any way to get this problem resolved. I would really love some help getting this fixed, whether it's being sent in for a repair, or simply replacing the controller, I would just like to play my games again.

In case they are needed, here are the links to the places I was sent to:
