    In the past 7 weeks I’ve had over a dozen interactions with the xbox chat and phone helpline regarding a repair or replace service order which was received at the Microsoft service centre on the 2nd of February.

    During these conversations I’ve been misinformed, lied to, mocked and hanged upon. The service I’ve received these last weeks is simply the worst I’ve ever encountered in the last 30 years. Never a company, small or large, has placed so little
    value in my legitimate requests after been sold a defective product. It is simply shameful.

    I don’ know how mud longer this will take but I need to say that this Xbox will be the last Microsoft product, hardware or software, i ever purchase.

    Repair or replace?

    I would definitely consider replacing the model. The price you listed is a little better than half the cost of a new one here in Canada.

    Not only will you get a better functioning console but you'll have a one year warranty with it as well. If you get one with a hard drive be sure to get an official Xbox transfer cable to transfer your content from the old drive to the new drive (If you
    are currently using an S or E console then you don't need the cable because the drive is compatible - if you are using an FAT console then the cable is required to transfer).

    Be sure to only use an official transfer cable as 3rd party cables have been known to ruin both hard drives and repairs are not supported for 3rd party issues.

    for repair request issues in the future as it should save you any hassles.
