    Repair on HDMI port


    My cat knocked down my xbox one off of my dresser while it was attached to the HDMI. It wasn’t connecting through to my TVs HDMI and I couldn’t figure out why. I tried 3 different cords and it wasnt connecting. Well today I finally gave it a good inspection
    and it looks like the prawn thing inside the HDMI port is broken. It must have broke when it fell and pulled the HDMI cord out. I was wondering if that would be a fixable problem. Everything else is fine and I’ve only had the xbox for 2 years. I looked up
    how to switch the ports myself but its a lot of work and tools i do not have.

    Hdmi port is broken

    No, USB to HDMI will not work. You will have to have the HDMI port repaired.

    Hi there,

    the HDMI in is meant for video to go in that can be passed via the console to the TV/Monitor via the HDMI Out port, the HDMI in port can not functions as a HDMI Out.

    It sounds like that you may have to send the console in for repair to get the HDMI out port fixed

    Probably a defective hdmi port.

    Ship it in for a repair.

    Unfortunately, the problem is related to the broken HDMI port of the console. The console cannot be used without HDMI.

    You can try moving the HDMI cable a bit (in the console part) and check if the signal is on the TV. However, the HDMI port will need to be repaired.

    Hey there, removing the sticker voids warranty and may likely result in microsoft not repairing. Check your hdmi and hdmi ports on tv, may have a bad port or bad cable
