    Repair of my Advanced Warfare edition returned standard edition.


    TO Hell with the customer must be the new mantra for Microsoft.

    I get my ONE serviced to make it usable a month after purchase and when it is returned it is not the right model. I should have received the Advanced Warfare edition back as it has the larger Hardrive and different skin colors.

    What I get is a standard edition and no other info in the box. Gret Communication there MS

    Then when I come to the support pages ther is no Phone option to call in my request.. Maybe its Saturday and they do not have pohone hours on Saturday. Makes Sense their customers primarily use the equipment off work hours and on weekends so lets not offer
    a means of contact. Great!

    So I have waited twice on Chat 1) 30 min (expected wait time 5 min) 2) 35 min (expected wait time 6min) and Nothing!!!

    So this leaves me with this forum option.

    A microsoft support Rep had better call me before Tuesday 12/23 with an action plan on what I need to do. BTW I am not holding my breath.

    But I will be holding a PS4 if the situation does not get resolved and soon.

  5. Hi there the reason you recieved the one you did is because your console was not repairable and they probably dont have those as a part of the replacement policy.

    That may be so, Pro. However I can understand where the OP is going with this issue seeing as how he purchased and sent in a console that had twice the storage capacity than the one he sent in. I would be upset as well.

  7. This is unacceptable, I was to.d they don't do advanced replacements on the white Xbox ones but wasn't told if it is able to be fixed they send you a regular console... That stinks, they should have suppy chain for replacing these special edition consoles.
    I was replacing my day one edition and inquired if I were to have problems.... If you don't get at the very least a 1 tb Xbox one then they owe you money imo....

    mrGREEK360 - The information you received is accurate. For limited edition consoles, we are currently not offering Advanced Exchanges. This is due to the supply shortage I have mentioned above.

  10. Interesting they sent out a courtesy Xbox one, I just hope you end up getting his console back to him ASAP. Hope he's lucky not to have bandwidth caps like me so he can redownload his stuff multiple of times. I also hope microsoft sends him a return label
    prepaid to retun this console, not on his dime. If microsoft does take these steps then I would have to say this was handled well.

    mrGreek - I'm sure that the console will be shipped out and the temporary console will be shipped back using pre-printed labels courtesy of the support team. What they have offered is actually good business.

    As for the bandwidth cap of which you speak, you can purchase an external USB 3.0 hard drive ranging in size from 256GB - 16TB to connect to your console for extra storage. You can put your games and other DLC on the external drive before you send your
    console in to prevent having issues with downloading when you get the console back.
