    Repair a special edition controller


    Hello,

    a few day ago the RB button of my controller failed me.

    As I filled the warranty form it only prompted me possible replacements, but not a repair option.

    Problem:

    It does not offer me a Project Scorpio Edition controller like mine, as expected.

    Question is:

    Is it somehow still possible to repair the controller, for I want to keep the design equal to the console?

    New controller moves upwards without doing anything

    Hey,

    I got a brand new XBox One S Battlefield One Edition and have a Problem with my controller. The cursor moves upwards all the time in the menus, so I cannot Setup anything or play a game. Can't replace the controller from the seller (Amazon) because the Militaria
    green one coming with the special edition is not sold seperately. Is there a possibility to repair or replace it via Microsoft?

    I recently got an Xbox one s special edition in blue and I want to get some rechargeable batteries for the controller. The question is; can you get blue batteries for the special edition controller?

    Repair a special edition controller

    Microsoft doesnt repair controllers. They only replace them when they are still under warranty hense why the only option is to opt for a replacement.

    Since you had a limited addition controller there is no guarantee you will get the same one since they dont make them anymore. Odds are you will get a standard non-project scorpio controller.

    Generally speak what KindGryphon mentioned is true. However in this situation we would recommend reaching out to the
    chat team to see about replacing the Project Scorpio controller.

    They will be able to look into whether those are still available for warranty.

    We do hope that they are and wish you the best!

    I just went thru the form for warranty cases again and in it appeared that the Project Scorpio controller is considered a standard controller.

    So i was able to chose one as replacement, probably only possible because of the console.

    I am still wondering why I could have replaced him with a special edition, but that's not my problem.

    I can not make a service request.

    If you're in the states, the standard controllers only have a 90 day warranty. You'll have to pay for shipping to ship your controller back to the repair center and they will send out a new one. If its a custom controller, the stock on hand is limited
    and if you send in a special edition controller and they are out, you'll get a standard controller back.
