Reoccurring license issues on PC with Game Pass Ultimate

    Reoccurring license issues on PC with Game Pass Ultimate


    I haven't found anyone else having this particular issue, and I've had this issue occur before, but today it happened for the 4th time to Dragon Quest XI after I had 7hrs put into the beginning of the game.



    Installing a game works fine, first launch and play is fine, but after restarting my PC, I get a pop-up that states I don't have a license for the game and it won't launch. I've installed on both my NVMe C: Drive, as well as my dedicated Gaming (GReoccurring license issues on PC with Game Pass Ultimate :) drive,
    which is two 512Gb SATA3 SSD's in RAID0. The only workaround I've found is to reinstall the game, but I lose any progress I had made as the save file is gone with the uninstall. This is only a temporary fix as well, as it occurred the 2nd time in The Surge
    2 after I had accumulated 20+hrs in the game. It's so frustrating.



    Has anyone else had/found a workaround for this issue? I've been struggling with this for a while. Honestly it has basically stopped me from using Game Pass on my PC, but I pay for Ultimate and would really like to use all the services I pay for.

    Hello, turn off reoccurring billing. If you have any xbox live time left and you cancel game pass ultimate it will cancel that time also. Best thing to do turn off reoccurring billing and just dont pay again.

    What do I need for xbox game pass ?

    Now it all depends on what you are gaming on. If you are only using a PC, you will only need Game Pass PC (beta) Your PC will need to be running the latest Windows 10 update of 1903. If it can't install, then your PC doesn't meet the minimum standard.

    If you are gaming on a console, signing up for Game Pass Ultimate is the cheapest option, as it gives you Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold in one cheaper package, with the bonus of Game Pass PC (beta) thrown in.

    You will need a valid payment method (as stated) credit/debit card etc for the reoccurring monthly payments.

    Ultimate is not the issue. I'm not sure what is, but Ultimate is not a requirement. Ultimate is a bundled subscription of Gold, Game Pass for console, and Gane Pass for PC. If you're only using the PC, you only need Game Pass for PC otherwise you have 2 subscriptions you don't need. Sea of Thieves is available on Game Pass for PC and buying Ultimate wouldn't change anything about the game.

    There's not a separate list of Game Pass games for Ultimate. If they're in Game Pass for PC, then they're in Ultimate. If they're in Game Pass for console, they're in Ultimate. But Minecraft is not available through Game Pass for PC, only console.
